Instagram star Claudia Ochoa Felix, who is also known at the “Kim Kardashian of organized crime” was found dead in her lover’s bed under mysterious circumstances. She was in Culiacan, Mexico. She was 36 years old.
Felix was El Chapo’s top female assassin. She led a unit in the Sinaloa Cartel after El Chapo was extradited to the U.S.
She was a mother of three and often called “Emperatriz de Los Anthrax” or “Anthrax Empress,” according to Rolling Stone Italy.
Felix worked as a model and used to carry out hits on targets ordered by Sinaloa Cartel leader Ismael El Mayo Zambada.
There are conflicting reports surrounding her death. She was found dead in a house in Isla Musala. Some local reports stated that her death was due to a drug overdose and yet, other reports said asphyxiation. It is not clear if Felix was the victim of foul play or if her death was accidental.
Originally, her death was reported on Sept. 14, 2019. Before she died, she went to a nightclub and returned to a man’s house later that night.
She was unconscious in her presumed lover’s bed, and when he was unable to revive her, he called the authorities.
According to Juan Jose Rios Estavillo, a prosecutor, alcohol and other substances were found in her body, however, he preliminary cause of death was suffocation. Investigators are waiting for the autopsy results.
There have been rumors that Felix may have been assassinated due to her alleged relation to the Sinaloa Cartel, however, she has denied affiliations with any criminal groups multiple times. Reportedly, she once took to Twitter stating the allegations were “cowardly lies and slander.”
Nevertheless, she perpetuated the rumors by posting pictures of herself with a pink AK-47. After she died, her Twitter and Instagram accounts were switched to private. However, her Facebook page remains active and accessible.
