On March 7, a gunman entered an Englewood convenience store and opened fire fatally wounding 20-year-old Elijah Suggs. In an effort to find the shooter, police have released the video footage.
In the video, the suspect walks to the store in the 6600 block of South Morgan Avenue. Outside, he talks with another man and they enter the store. While the suspect is waiting in line to make his purchase, he appears to become agitated. The suspect leaves the store. Police believe he walked a block before he returned. He is seen talking to someone (Snuggs cannot be seen in the footage). He acts like he is going to walk away but turns and fires. Then he runs away.
The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, a black jacket, and black jeans.
Anyone with information on the gunman is asked to call Area One Detectives at 312-747 -8380.
