Las Vegas police are investigating the shooting of a young male teen that happened after a fight took place at a house party on Monday, July 27, 2020.
The incident took place overnight in the Central Las Vegas Valley. The house party was located on the 1700 block of Casona Ave, near Charleston Boulevard and Eastern Avenue.
Lt. David Gordon reported that a fight broke out during the party just before the shooting, stating that “one of the individuals pulled out a handgun and started shooting.”
When everyone was fleeing the house after the gunshots sounded, the victim was shot in the arm while trying to escape. The teen was able to be taken to the hospital to see to his injuries. His condition is non-life-threatening and he is currently on a road to full recovery.
Despite the house being populated at the time, there has been no arrest nor has the shooter been apprehended.
The current investigation taking place is done in an attempt to find the shooter who fled the scene immediately after wounding the victim.
