My name is Erika Cano, I am 19 years old and I wish to become a midwife nurse. I have always loved babies. Being one of the first people to hold a baby in their first moments of life is such an amazing experience that I want to be a part of.
Erika Cano’s Dreams
I realized I wanted to be a midwife nurse when my little sister was born. Being able to care for such a small being made me happy. I also have stories of the women in my life and how rude and awful the nurses were to them during birth; so I want to be the opposite of that to other women going through labor.
Giving birth is hard enough, they don’t need to be dealing with disrespect from the people they’re trusting their baby with. I know I will be able to achieve this and I can’t wait for that.
