Here at TNS (The News School), my experience has been a great one. Everyone here is really cool and everyone has their own unique background. All the co-workers I’ve gotten a chance to meet are really nice.
I’ve made a few quick friends some of who have the same interests as me. I’ve made friends with a few of the boys here who enjoy making their own musical content. Most of them focus more on the rapping aspect of the content.
I feel that making music is much easier for me. Whenever I’m making music I feel that usually, I find myself angry or upset and I turn that negative energy into something beautiful.

Today is 01/26/2023, Yesterday we got to meet guest speakers from a program called “CANDOR.” The main focus of the program is to rehabilitate people who have gone to jail and, seek to provide them with all the things that they need to re-enter society.
A chance to re-enter society
The few men who showed up yesterday were all people who have been to jail because of the crimes that they committed while they were in their youth. A lot of them were to serve sentences that would have been for more than 40 to 60 years.
But luckily they were given shorter sentences and, some were even let out of prison early because of the initiative they took to better themselves while they were in there. It may be a hard thing to experience as a youth but I’m glad we got a chance to meet them in person so that we can see that firsthand
I’m really proud of them for making it out and doing what it takes to become a proper members of society again. Being a young man, it’s very hard knowing that sometimes your parents do things that are unethical and unjust. But it’s alright and I still love both of my parents for who they are.
Most people don’t see that their parents still love them even if they have done something wrong. Both of my parents are out of prison now and I pray that it stays that way. All I can do now is forgive them and move on. As I continue to make progress in my life, I will continue to make the best of my career.
