My experience working at The News School has been a really positive and fun experience. The staff members make you feel welcome and so do the other workers. Coming to work here has been a very beautiful learning experience and also a really good working space.
When I first started I was very nervous and thought that I wouldn’t do good or I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the work or how to do it. But now I am confident that I will succeed here and become a great journalist. So far in The News School we have been doing baby steps and writing simple articles like this one as a practice to get used to writing and editing pictures. Something else I really enjoy about this job is the snacks and food.
When I have a question or trouble understanding how to do something I never feel like I can’t have the support I need. I don’t feel like an outcast.
These are some of the reasons why I love The News School.
- The working space is great.
- I honestly love the fact that we can’t have our cell phones. It keeps us from getting distracted and makes us get our work done.
- Not only is journalism fun it also looks amazing on your resume. And if you pass the program you get a certificate and a press pass, isn’t that cool? I am so happy that I found The News School.
- It is also Immigration friendly which is amazing for those of us that have a hard time getting a job.
I believe that if you are interested in writing, recording, and using Social Media this program is for you. I love The News School and everything this program has to offer and I am planning on staying for a long time.
