On one of the darkest days in American history, June 24, 2022, a biased right-wing Supreme Court completed its biggest attack on women’s rights in our nation’s history. The “Republican” party, composed of right-wing extremists and white supremacists, may have won a major battle, but will it cost them the war and the existence of their party?
Republicans Embrace Our Country’s Dark Past
Furthermore, Republicans live in the past. For the last 42 years they not only rejected and attacked the progressive platform of Democrats and most Independents, but they also adopted philosophies that are regressive. However, their own wives, daughters, and all significant others have exhausted their patience and joined all women who will stand together and take the rights which belong to them. Additionally, they will no longer be asking for what is theirs, they will take it by whatever means are available to them.
It Has Become Necessary for Women to Declare War Against Men who Oppose Equality for All
The government of Texas passed legislation that places a bounty on women. If they have an abortion, anyone with knowledge of this fact has the right to report them to law enforcement and receive a monetary reward.
Here is a story that is nearly unbelievable, and mimics the actions of Hitler’s Gestapo in 1930s Germany.
Marcus Silva is a resident of the Lone Star State. His ex-wife received an abortion. He is now suing three women he claims assisted her in the procedure. Apparently, they procured medical supplies which ended her unwanted pregnancy. Silva is asking for one million dollars from each of these women.
The sad part of this story is that he is likely to win. Texas is one of the deepest red states in America with one of the worst governors and state legislature in our nation. Judges appointed by fascist-leaning governors and even presidents will likely uphold these unconstitutional laws created by white men who continue to seek control over women.
Donald Trump has Become a Pariah for “Republicans”
The most recent poll available shows a dramatic change in GOP demographics. Only 28 percent of female Republican voters say that they would vote for Trump again. His actions over the last eight years prove that he is a sexual predator who believes women have but a single purpose. This single statistic makes him unelectable.
An increasing number of men and women who call themselves Republicans are distancing themselves from their former president. Trump is the prime reason Republicans lost the elections in 2018, 2020, and 2022. A large number of our nation’s people realize that the orange buffoon who pretended to be the president was and is not an American. He opposes everything which made the United States a respected and even envied nation.
One Entire Party has Become Sexist
Trump is not solely to blame for the growth of misogyny within the right wing of our politics. This phenomenon began with the Reagan Administration. It was Ronald Reagan who adopted Christianity as the one true religion and helped create the Christian Religious Right. The CRR is the reason abortion and same-sex marriage have become issues affecting our elections. Today’s fake Republicans make no decision in Washington without the approval of the CRR. They violate the First Amendment every day they are in the Capitol Building.
Women’s fight for equality will continue as long as one party opposes any legislation protecting equal rights for all Americans, without exception or exclusion. As long as our nation is dominated by anger, hatred, violence, racism, and all forms of bigotry including sexism, America will never be a “great country.”
