What Occurred in Atlanta Today? What About Gun Reform?
There was another mass shooting that took place in Atlanta today in the U.S. Guns are a major issue in the U.S., and people continue to wonder why things like this happen. The fact that guns circulate the entire US and are available to be purchased pretty much anywhere, makes things worse.
However, if there was more attention paid towards gun reform, and reducing the amount of guns in the U.S., things like this could happen less frequently. Although there is no way to completely ban guns from the U.S., there can be changes in acquiring them. In some states, all that is needed to purchase a gun is an ID, and rarely a background check.
However, it is true, it is not the gun, it’s the person. On the other hand, making guns less accessible will prevent people like this to commit these horrible tragedies.
How Many Were Injured in This Shooting?
Unfortunately, there was one person that was pronounced deceased at the scene. “At this time, there are five victims,” according to Atlanta Police. Four were transported to the hospital for treatment and a fifth person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Unfortunately, these four victims are still being treated, and no updates are currently available on their current or future status.

Was The Shooter Apprehended?
The shooter is currently still on the run after committing this horrible crime. “Police issued a ‘be on the lookout’ for the suspect, telling CNN the suspect is known to them and remains at large,” stated CNN News.
He was last seen with a gray hoodie. The police are doing everything in their power to track down the suspect, and there is hope that he is brought to justice.
