On April 11, 2023, Jamie Foxx first received emergency treatment for an undisclosed illness. Now the star is claimed to be recovering in Chicago.
Despite sources and fans not receiving any notice of the cause of Jamie Foxx’s reason for emergency treatment, fans speculate it is life-threatening. All that news sources can uncover is that the celebrity is suffering from a physical ailment due to his initial treatment.
On Thursday, May 19, 2023, new photos show his family visiting outside of the medical center the previous Sunday. Foxx’s two daughters, 13-year-old Analise Bishop and Corinne,29, exiting the building he resides in. Annalise and her mother, Kristin Grannis, arrived together.
For the visit, his youngest daughter brought a guitar. Grannis, holding Mother’s Day balloons and flowers, was also photographed, supposedly celebrating the holiday together. Corinne arrived with her boyfriend, Joseph Hooten, later photographed hugging outside of the building.
Progression and Response to Fox’s Medical Complication
Usually a private man, Foxx announced no news of his medical condition. Instead, his daughter, Corrine, shared an Instagram post about the news of her father’s admittance to the hospital.
From the Foxx Family:
We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.
So far, the only updates about the star come from his close family and friends. At the lack of news, however, fans quickly assumed the worst. When multiple news media cited an increase in fans giving their condolences, his daughter had to clarify that he was not in critical condition. Responded that Jamie Foxx is completely fine. Stating how “sad it is to see the media run wild,” Corrine shared that her father was already on his way to complete recovery.
My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!
So far, Jamie Foxx’s only response to the questions is a congratulations message on Instagram thanking everyone for “all the love!”.
Kevin Hart, a close friend of Foxx, in a podcast with Logan Paul, gave a positive update on his health. Not alluding to any behind-the-scenes information. Hart claims that the only information he knows is the celebrity is getting better and better in the situation he’s in. Hart shares that in his situation:
Man, you know, you just want the guy to get out of the situations and then get back home.
Before his admittance to the hospital, Foxx and Cameron Diaz were shooting for the action comedy movie, “Back in Action.”
