Who Are The Oath Keepers? Who Is Their Leader?
The riot that took place on January 6 was an incredibly scary day for the United States. It was a day of pure chaos, as the Oath Keepers wanted to make sure Former President Donald Trump stood in office. However, this certainly did not work, and many of the people that were there that day ended up getting sentenced and ended up going to prison.
The Oath Keepers were a group of people who were in favor of keeping Donald Trump in office by any means necessary. Therefore, a pact was formed and a leader was needed. Their leader, and the founder of the Oath Keepers, is named Stewart Rhodes and ended up getting caught and arrested for this attack on the Capitol. Therefore, many can agree that justice was certainly served.
How Long Was Stewart Rhodes Sentenced for This Attack?
Stewart Rhodes was found guilty of plotting this entire attack from the ground up.
“Stewart Rhodes, the founder and leader of the Oath Keepers, was sentenced Thursday to 18 years in federal prison for seditious conspiracy in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol,” according to Yahoo! News.
This is the highest amount of years that anyone has received when it comes to this attack. However, there is a certain majority that is not really in favor of this, as the original sentence was at 25 years. However, there is a certain majority who are not in favor of Rhodes going to jail in the first place. Therefore, no matter what, he will be going to federal prison for plotting this attack.

The Future of Other Groups Around the Nation
The Oath Keepers are not the only group that exists within the nation. There are several organizations that heavily uplift their agenda. Therefore, they are able to recruit and continue bringing in revenue. However, because of this, there is a huge chance that these organizations will not be able to make much progress within society.
“This tough sentence is going to make the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, all these organizations, it’s going to make them more difficult for them to recruit and, as important, for them to raise money,” according to CNN News.
Therefore, this can be a very beneficial sentence for the entire nation. However, there are many other organizations that exist, and there is a worry something similar may occur. Therefore, there may be many more measures put in place to prevent an attack of this magnitude once and for all.
