October has arrived and here are different activities you can enjoy with family and friends in order to obtain the best out this spooky season. From festivals to outside activates and plenty of different events, October has it all for you to enjoy and obtain a good time.
October is not just about hunted houses, scary monsters, and ghost. There is also activities for children to enjoy and for you to pass a good time without being scared every five minutes. Between Halloween riding to dressing up your pet for a Howl-oween party on the Wild Mile, you are just going to enjoy your self this fall.
Outside Activities
This October is going to bring plenty of outside activities for you to not just enjoy by yourself but get together with family as well. For example, these are just a few of the activities you can enjoy and obtain from the plenty of other activities there is going to be this October:

This activity is the Chicago Park District: Campfire Horrors at Northerly Island is going to be located at the Northerly Island Park. Located at 1521 South Linn White Drive from 7-8:30 p.m. October 13. Everyone is welcomed to bring their blankets and head to the indicated address for the screening of non other than the most classic horror film “Friday the 13th.” There is no need for early registrations, the admission is free and everyone is welcome.
- There will also be a Urban Rivers: Howel-oween on The Wild Mile as previously mentioned located at 1550 North Kingsburry Street. Everyone is welcome to bring there pets and dress them up for a pet costume contests. Pets will be able to obtain prizes, and there will also be child-friendly crafts available. The even will begin at 2-4 p.m. October 28 and the costume contest will start at 3 p.m.
Festivals
This are some of the most well known festivals mentioned below. Where everyone can take there children for a family-friendly fun and enjoy with friends as well. Some of this festivals include:
- The Pumpkin Patch at Horner (Henry) Park which will be located at 3035 North Hoyne Avenue, Chicago. The cost of the event will be free; however, there will be a $5 fee for pumpkin. Youth and family can pick there own pumpkin from the field of pumpkins and decorate them. There will also be games, inflatables, photo stations and a reptile show.
- Additionally, there will also be a Scarecrow Fest which will take place on October 14. Children can have fun with their families decorating pumpkins, riding pony’s, decorating scarecrows, face painting and more activities for family to have a fun time and enjoy their evening.
