This year’s fall season is around the corner and many people are very excited for it. But many have no idea about the many activities that will be taking place during the season. But don’t worry because in this article the most popular activities in Chicago and nearby cities will be covered.
Fulton Fest
This Fest will be hosted on September 16 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is a street festival dedicated to entrepreneurs from the Make City and Hatchery Chicago business incubators. It is meant to showcase their business to the public and anyone that goes will be able to shop from the businesses. There will also be food and drinks at the event.
Oktoberfest
Next, this event will be taking place at Lincoln Park Zoo in September 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Anyone that has children, this would not be a good option as this is an adults only event. This event will include a live polka band, DJ, beer, wine, and many other delicious food items.
Chicago Gourmet
This has been described as one of the US most incredible food festival. It will take place from September 21 to September 24. This is an annual event that people of Chicago get to enjoy during the fall season. In this event, there will be the city’s top chefs giving a culinary event they design.
Many culinary designs will be available. This will take place Harris Theater Rooftop in Millennium Park and other food venues. So far, it is known that there is going to be about six different categories of food that will be showcased.
Lincoln Park Wine Fest
Next on the list will be the annual Wine Fest in Lincoln Park. This event will take place from October 6 to the 8th. Each day is going to have different times. On the 6th, it will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with it running from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. 7th, and 8th 11a.m. to 7 p.m.
This event will be an open event meaning it will be outside instead of inside a building. So it is advised for everyone attending to check the weather that day and wear the appropriate attire. Due to the alcohol theme, this will be an adult only event. There will be wine and food at this event for adults to enjoy.
Chicago Food Truck Festival
Moving on to another event that will be taking place this fall is the Chicago Food Truck Festival. This event will be hosted on October 7 to the 8th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As the name implies, there will be many food trucks with so many varieties of food for people to choose from. Additionally, it will be taking place in LaBagh Woods. There will be Music and games and it will be a kid friendly event.
Magnificent Mile Lights Festival
Second to last, there will be a light Festival specifically for the fall season. This will be the 32nd time this event will be hosted in the city of Chicago. This event will take place on November 18. This event is meant to mark the official transition from the Fall season to holiday season. It is celebrated the week before Thanksgiving.
Water Lantern Festival
Lastly, this event is hosted outside of Chicago but it is only one hour away and absolutely worth it. This is the water lantern festival which is a better option to floating Chinese lanterns environment wise.
Additionally, this is a beautiful event that will be hosted on September 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be lanterns being sold at the festival as well as food, games, and different activities.
Many Things To Do
These are just a few of the many events that will be available during this fall season. Hopefully there will be many more to come during the holidays but that’s an article for another day.
