The Migrant Crisis
The Migrant Crisis continues to escalate way out of control. More and more migrants continue to pour into the United States, and it does not look like it will stop anytime soon. It is really unfortunate for both the United States citizens, as well as the migrants themselves. The migrants suffer since they are lacking access to food and shelter. The United States is suffering because more and more shelters and food is needed. In other words, there is a higher demand and the U.S. cannot supply. However, Mayor Brandon Johnson will take matters into his own hands.
Brandon Johnson to Take Matters Into His Own Hands
Mayor Brandon Johnson has planned a visit to the southern border, that way he can get a close up as to what is actually happening. Additionally, he can gain some knowledge on how he can better support migrants and the border as well. Therefore, there is a hope that Mayor Brandon Johnson and his team can find a well round solution for the state of Illinois. “Officials with the Department of Homeland Security met with some City Council members Thursday along with Mayor Brandon Johnson’s office to discuss his upcoming trip to the southern border,” according to ABC 7 News.
Therefore, this visit can certainly be crucial to the future of the migrant crisis. Additionally, something can finally be done about this crisis, as U.S. citizens are also suffering as well.
Mayor Johnson Slashes Republican Party
Mayor Brandon Johnson also said some words towards the Republican party as well. This was done after he declared his trip to the southern border. ““It’s a tremendous sacrifice for the people of Chicago. And I certainly know how hard it has been for the people of Chicago. But…without action, the type of chaos that the Republican Party is causing is going to be greater,” according to ABC 5 News.
Clearly, it seems that these conditions, according to Mayor Johnson, are because of the Republican Party. However, these particular statistics do not matter, as it is imperative that this crisis be controlled.

Governmental Help is a Need
There is a huge need from the Federal Government for any kind of help that they can provide. This crisis does not seem like it is going to stop anytime soon. Therefore, it is imperative that help be sent ASAP. However, it is very hard to do that when the entire U.S. is suffering with this as well.
“Our hope is that we will continue to get more resources and a stronger commitment from the federal government to be able to provide us with the support that the people of Chicago need,” according to the Chicago Sun Times.
Being that Mayor Johnson is going to see first hand what is going on at the border, will certainly help with deciding what the future will hold.
The Future of the Migrant Crisis
As aforementioned, it does not seem like this crisis is going to stop within the near future. However, there is still time for remedies to be sought after. Not only will remedies help migrants themselves, but also citizens of the U.S. who are also greatly affected by this.
Additionally, it is great that there is a leader of Illinois that is personally going to the border to set the record straight. This is something that should have happened a while ago. Either way, it is great that it is finally happening, and that someone is taking action.
Therefore, if something is not done within the near future, it is safe to say that this may endanger the U.S. greatly. This may induce a huge negative fall for the U.S, one that is certainly not needed or wanted.
