Palestinian Boy and Mother Stabbed
A young Palestinian boy and his mother were stabbed in an apparent hate crime, recently. This has left the entire nation and the world unsettled and absolutely enraged. There have been many leaders and people that have been speaking out about what happened to this young boy. He did not deserve what had happened to him. He was stabbed 26 times, and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His mother survived the stabbings. However, she is currently in critical condition. This should not have happened, and it has certainly affected the nation and the world.
There were text messages that were obtained after this had happened as evidence. Apparently, the 71 year old had sent threatening text messages, before he acted out in the way he did. “According to text messages attained by CAIR-Chicago, “All you Muslims must die,” said the 71-year-old landlord accused of fatally stabbing the boy 26 times, and brutally injuring his mother in Chicago’s South suburbs,” according to WGN 9 News.
It is unbelievable that someone would have this much hate, to kill a anyone, let alone a 6-year-old boy. However, this young boy and his mother will be receiving justice. However, justice does not bring back a life.
Dehumanization, and Unity Between Jewish Leaders Amid Crisis
Jewish leaders are more united than ever before, as there is an obvious crisis occurring between Israel and Hamas. Additionally, the act that occurred involving the 6-year-old boy also further inquired immediate action between Jewish leaders.
“We urge all levels of government and law enforcement to swiftly make clear that there will be consequences for those who target Jews, Muslims, Arab Americans, and any other community. And we call on our political leaders to reject those who exploit bigotry and disinformation for political gain,” according to the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. This statement is made clear and concise for anyone who tries anything of the nature.
It is unfortunate that something of this nature has to be written in order to be followed. Many would think that it would be common sense, however, in this day and age, common sense is lacking.

Tragic Form of Generalization
There is also obvious generalization that is occurring not only in the U.S, but also in other countries as well. This generalization prompts people to lash out in ways that will destroy a family and themselves.
This is something that is being condemned in every way, and will be punished with extreme consequences. ““This is absolutely tragic, and a tragic example of what happens when people generalize from one bad actor, in this case Hamas, to the entirety of a religion or of people,” according to Forward. Therefore, this unity is certainly something that is needed right now, and will enable others to join this pact.
The Future of this Crisis
This unity between leaders is only the beginning. There is a hope that within the near future, more action is taken to decrease dehumanization, and also to decrease generalization. However, it does not seem like that will happen anytime soon. As far as the crisis that is occurring in Israel, there is a hope that it ends as quickly as possible, and with the least possible amount of casualties as well.
Citizens of both of these countries do not ask to be in war, in fact, they ask of the opposite. However, this does not matter when it comes to the government decisions, and there may certainly be a large amount of casualties as a result of this war. It is unknown what the future of this war may be, but many hope that it is a positive one.
