Spotify As We Know It
Spotify has been used across the entire globe for many years. It is a great way to listen to music, with the best quality. Additionally, it is a great way for artists to make themselves more known throughout the globe. Spotify offers a great way for artists to share their music, and to enhance their passion for music. Additionally, Spotify is a great way for artists to earn some extra money while they share their music.
However, many have agreed that the ads that intervene can get quite tiresome at times to listen to. However, Spotify needs to do this in order to earn some type of revenue as well for their company. All in all, millions of people rely on Spotify to deliver great music whenever they need it the most.
Merchandise is a great way for artists to make extra money, while, in a way, connecting with their fanbase. Fans will do anything to show off who they love to listen to, and merchandise is a great way to do just that. Spotify is enhancing their application with a new feature, which will surely change the game for many artists across the globe.
Spotify to Enhance the Experience for Artists
Artists are going to be given a treat within the foreseeable future. Spotify is greatly enhancing the application for artists to make a bit more extra money aside from what they are already making. They are going to be adding a merchandise hub. This merchandise hub is going to give fans access to purchase merchandise from their favorite artists, right on Spotify! As exciting as this sounds, there is still time and effort that is being put into this before it becomes a reality. “It is the latest effort from Spotify to integrate merch purchasing into the app, which has been a priority for artists who distribute on the streaming service,” according to The Verge.
Additionally, this is something new that has not been done before by any streaming service of its kind. Being able to integrate a merchandising hub within this application will bring artists closer to their fans than ever before. Originally, Spotify had launched with Shopify, that way merchandise can be sold through the Shopify application. However, since time has passed and their partnership has grown, this option will now be available within the app itself. “While merch has been available on Spotify since its partnership with Shopify in 2021, the new Merch Hub integrates the shopping experience directly within the app,” according to Music Business World Wide.

Therefore, being able to enhance the experience, will greatly improve the way many feel about Spotify currently.
Is Spotify Launching Anything Else?
Spotify is planning on not only launching a merchandising hub, but also a “SuperPremium” option, where there will be a lot of personalized features according to the user’s interests. This will certainly increase the amount of revenue that Spotify makes, and by a large margin.
“Spotify is also preparing to launch a new $19.99 per month ‘Superpremium’ subscription tier, which includes lossless audio, AI-generated playlists, advanced mixing tools, extended audiobook listening hours, and a personalized feature called ‘Your Sound Capsule,'” according to IT Voice. Clearly, as aforementioned, there are a lot of features that are going to be included in this premium option. However, paying $19.99 a month may be a challenge for a lot of people.
Only time will tell what is going to happen from here on out when it comes to this new feature. Additionally, it is unclear when this feature will be added, as they are still working on this from the beginning. However, when it comes out, it is certainly going to change the outlook of streaming services forever.
