United Airlines and Their Importance
Millions upon millions of Americans rely on the United Airlines for transportation. This can simply be to travel for a business trip, a vacation, or to visit family outside of the U.S.
United Airlines is a great way for people to travel to a farther destination in much less time. However, since there is a war that is currently going on in the Middle East, this make may the job for United Airlines ten times harder. As of recently, the United Airlines has suffered quite a bit, and there are many reasons to support this decline.
How Are They Declining?
There are several reasons as to why the shares of United Airlines are decreasing. “United Airlines on Tuesday said more expensive jet fuel and a halt to the carrier’s Tel Aviv flights during the Israel-Hamas war will eat into its profits in the last three months of the year,” according to CNBC News. This is very bad news for the company, as this could potentially mean ending service by the end of the year. If service does end, this may mean that Americans may not be able to use this airline for transportation.
Additionally, this may be extremely disastrous for Americans as well, as the holiday season is up and coming. Many families may already have a trip planned to visit family that live in a different country. That would have to be either postponed until this issue is resolved, or completely cancelled. Therefore, there needs to be a solution that is brought about, and quickly, before matters become worse for the airline.

How Will The Airline Know To Shut Down?
This all depends on flights that have been arranged to Tel-Aviv. These flights are still in the works, and amid the war, there may be a halt to these them completely. However, the airline is still investigating into whether or not this should take place at all.
Meaning, only time will tell if a shutdown will be imminent, as profits will have decreased heavily due to this cancellation. As the war in the Middle East progresses, the future of these flights hang in uncertainty.
Are Other Airlines Suffering the Same Way?
Unfortunately, United Airlines is not the only company that is suffering in the same way due to the wars and higher fuel prices. There are several other airlines that are suffering in the same way, and it is unknown if the future is going to change these outcomes. “Shares of other airlines, including JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU), American Airlines Group Inc. (AAL) and Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL)were falling sharply as well. Shares of J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. (JBHT) were down more than 7%% as the trucking and transportation-services provider reported third-quarter results that missed Wall Street’s expectations,” according to Morningstar News.
However, since many are speculating that these wars are going to last for a long time, there may be a shutdown imminent for many airlines by the end of the year. The future is looking grim for the airlines across the United States.
However, only time will tell how the outcome of this situation is going to turn out. Many, especially people that rely on these airlines, hope for a positive outcome.
