The Statement
Kelly Clarkson finally opens up on her reason behind leaving “The Voice” and from what it sounds it does not seem she is going to be back any time soon. Clarkson first enter the competition as a full time coach in 2018 during the shows 14th season. She then left the competition in 2022, during season 21 of the show, for unknown reasons.
Clarkson served as one of the coaches for “The Voice,” where she helped numerous of talented young singers with a dream of becoming artists. Additionally, Clarkson did return for a couple of episodes on March 2023, however, she stated she is not going to be part of the contest anymore.

Her reasoning as she mentioned was due to some personal issues she was under going with her now ex-husband. Clarkson was involved in a very public and messy divorced with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
She was also experiencing some negative allegations about her talk show having a “traumatizing” work environment. Different situations in her personal and work life were affecting her mental health and making her struggle. Clarkson said in a statement,
Full disclosure, I put on a smile a lot of those times because I was struggling a lot in my personal life. I’ve learned a lot about what I’m capable of handling and also what you should not handle. That was me saying ‘bye’ to The Voice and having this big move. I love that family, but I was like, ‘I’m struggling. I can’t smile anymore. I don’t feel like smiling.
Fresh Start
Now, after months of being in a bad place mentally and with her work environment, Clarkson address she was finally feeling stronger and wanted a fresh start away from all her problems. She said she was leaving LA behind and was considering moving to Montana. However, because of her show this place was not an option. Despite this small set back she ended up moving to New York with her children to start once again. Now she can continue hosting “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” which will be relocated to the iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Since then “The Kelly Clarkson Show” air once again for their season 5 on October 16 of this year. Additionally, as she added in a statement, “I’m in a better place not only with my kids, but with me personally and with the show. I feel like a weight has lifted. That move was very needed.”
