Hottest Spotify Wrapped Music of 2023

When it comes to listening to music and singers, Chicago loves it all. In particular, this year, Chicago presented the most popular music, from pop, to country, hip-hop, rock, rap, and trap. The diversity of music this year is unmatched. In total, 551 million people listened to Spotify music worldwide this year.

According to the Spotify data, the following are the lead musicians and the order in where they where placed on the list.

Top Hottest Artists of 2023 

  1. Taylor Swift.
  2. Drake.
  3. Bad Bunny.
  4. Morgan Wallen.
  5. Peso Pluma.

Taylor Swift owned this year, as she reached the top spot on the Spotify list. She managed to make it on top with the support of her “Swifties” and her latest hits which have helped her make a comeback from previous years. Taylor is the most streamed artist in the world, with 26.1 billion streams since January 1. Additionally, her appearance at the top of this year’s Spotify Wrapped has knocked down Bad Bunny’s three year in a roll achievement. Since 2020 he has managed to be number one, however; now he has fallen to second place of the list.

Additionally, Bad Bunny managed to hold his title of one of the top artist and stay in the top five with the help of his 2022 album “Un Verano Sin Ti.” Which was also one of Spotify’s most-streamed album for the second year in a row, ranking with 4.5 billion global streams.

Moreover, to celebrate her greatest achievement for this year. Taylor Swift released a new song, “You’re Losing Me (From the Vault), to thank her fans for helping her reach number one. She also expressed on social media her gratitude by posting, “Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me. We’ve seriously had THE MOST fun this year out there on tour and now this. Are you serious.”

Furthermore, here are also some of the top songs that were streamed in the 2023 Spotify Wrapped. Along with the order they were categorized in:

  1. “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen.
  2. “Kill Bill” by SZA.
  3. “Ella Baila Sola” by Eslabon Armado, Peso Pluma.
  4. “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus.
  5. “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” by Ice Spice, Pink Pantheress.

The music listed above are just a few of the top songs played this year. More great music was also played throughout the year by great musicians. However, there music did not make it to the top of the list.

In addition, Chicago embraced country music with “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen. As mentioned before this holds the most-played song titled for 2023. Wallen performed this song at Wrigley Field for two nights in June. The singer mentioned this specific songs followed and expresses his own heartbreak and journey with alcoholism.

With the help of numerous fan and the song being extremely relatable to millions, Wallen also managed to get his song at the Billboard Hot 100 In February 2023. The song is also expected to return to the Midwest in early 2024, as mentioned by NBC 5. Overall, this song was a hit all over the world.
