School Shootings in the U.S
School shootings continue to be a major point of concern for the U.S. These shootings seem to happen all too frequently, resulting in several casualties and many more traumatized students and parents. However, despite all of these threats, it seems the amount of attention given to this topic is very little, and it should certainly be increased.
These claims carry with them an increased severity, as well as a potential for mass destruction. However, every year there seems to be multiple mass shootings in schools, churches, public areas and more, and yet very little is done to reduce them. A San Diego school was in grave danger.
San Diego Father and Son Arrested
In San Diego California, there was yet another report of a possible mass shooting bound to occur. A teenager made a threat that he would commit a school shooting within the week. Thankfully, students reported this, and there was enough time to take action before something terrible occurred.
Additionally, officers were also able to obtain an order to remove firearms from the home that could cause harm to others. What they found inside absolutely shocked them. From rocket propelled grenades, to loads of ammunition, and supplies to make rifles and handguns, this is a compilation of what they found in the home.
However, them being able to locate these supplies and confiscate them, as well as take the two into custody, prevented what may have well been another school shooting. Many in the area and in San Diego are beyond shocked at the amount of weaponry they had access too. However, it is unsurprising, as receiving this type of weaponry is not exactly troublesome work for many, as they are available almost over the counter.
The Future of These Occurrences
There is a major hope that school shootings begin to deteriorate over the near future. Families do not need to suffer the loss of their loved ones from a senseless shooting. Additionally, this type of weaponry should not be on the streets and should be taken care of immediately. Many are unsure what it will take to fully address and resolve this particular issue.
