Chicago’s Deadly Mass Shooting’s

Sunday mass shooting left three dead, 3 dead including 14-year-old

Two attackers opened fire in a South Side home in Chicago, killing three people, including a 14-year-old child, and injuring one. The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in the 8000 block of South Vincennes Avenue in the Gresham neighborhood.

Police said the victims were inside the home when two men came inside and opened fire.

A 14-year-old boy died immediately after being shot in the back; soon after 36-year-old man died at the Medical Center after being shot in the chest; then a 20-year-old man died at Christ Hospital after being shot in the abdomen; and thus a 17-year-old is in fair condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Deadly shooting in Rogers Park: Young woman killed, 3 others hospitalized

A young woman was killed, afterward three others were injured, after being shot by two suspects at Pottawattomie Park on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 7300 block of North Rogers Avenue in the Rogers Park area.

Authorities said four adults were standing in the park when two more guys entered and started firing. The last sighting of the two suspects was on Winchester Avenue, running north.

“We were at the dog park, we heard about eight gunshots. We saw a bunch of teens fleeing, then we heard someone scream, ‘call 9-1-1,'” said witness Madelin Okleson.

Okleson and her friends tried to help the victims as well. “My friends ran over. When we spotted this woman standing, we went to perform CPR. “We hope she’s okay,” Okleson stated.

The following details about the four victims and their conditions are listed below:

  • A woman, 19, shot in the chest, was taken to Saint Fraincis Hospital in critical condition. She has died from her injuries, police say.
  • A woman, 22, shot in the right foot, was taken to Swedish Hospital in good condition.
  • A man, 20, shot in the forehead, was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in good condition.
  • A man, 19, shot in the left hip, was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in good condition.

Chicago South Shore shooting leaves man critically wounded

A man was shot and badly injured Sunday night on the South Shore neighborhood. In brief According to police, the 47-year-old was discovered unresponsive inside a car in the 6900 block of South Paxton Avenue at 10 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the neck. Police say they retrieved a weapon from the site.

The victim was taken to the Medical Center, where he was classified as in critical condition.

No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.

South Side Greater Grand Crossing shooting 4 wounded and 1 fatally injured

On Monday, a mass shooting on the South Side killed one person and injured several others, in addition to the gunman. Around 5:41 p.m., police responded to a ShotSpotter alarm at 7125 S. State Street, where they discovered two victims on the ground with gunshot wounds.

A 59-year-old man received a blow in the abdomen and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center,  furthermore where he was declared dead at 6:06 p.m. A 49-year-old man standing beside an ATM received a gunshot in the forehead and was then transported to the same hospital in critical condition.

Police at the scene acquired a description of the perpetrator and tracked him down a short distance away, then after a few hours was arrested. A gun was discovered in the 54-year-old’s hands, and he was shot in the leg. He was transported to Christ Hospital in critical condition. A few minutes later, a 50-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his leg was dropped off at the Medical Center.

Police say the inquiry is still ongoing.
