Heists
Heists, unfortunately, are not rare in the United States. In their desperation for money, people often resort to extreme measures. Los Angeles, however, had not witnessed a significant heist for a long time. The last major heist occurred two years ago when thieves stole 22 bags of jewelry valued between $10 million and $100 million from a Brink’s tractor-trailer; the exact amount remains unconfirmed.
To date, the perpetrators of that heist remain at large. However, as of this past Easter Sunday, a new group of thieves has claimed dominance by executing an unprecedented heist in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Facility Heist
Despite the Los Angeles facility being outfitted with extensive security technology, it proved insufficient. A group of adept thieves managed to enter the facility undetected by the alarms and made off with approximately $30 million in cash. The LAPD and FBI are collaborating closely on the investigation to collect as much information as possible. Efforts are underway to determine precisely how the intruders breached the building and its safe, and the exact sum of cash taken is still under evaluation.

An employee of GardaWorld, the facility that was robbed, mentioned how the building is secure. “They check that the alarm is set up, so, just to think that they were able to go through the security system and get away with all that money, it’s a shocker,” the employee told NBC News.
The Future of This Incident
There is a hope that the perpetrators are caught, and that they are able to return the money that was stolen. This money is very important, as they have multiple clients across the U.S that this money belongs to. Therefore, it is imperative the money is located, and returned. However, the thieves that were able to pull off this significant heist, are surely experienced in this field.
Therefore, this has many worried if it will be possible to locate them within the near future. They had an entire day to flee the scene, as this crime was found out about on Monday. They may already have left Los Angeles, and it will be too late to locate them or the assets.
