Who I Am
My name is Alana Harvey, I am a 17-year-old high school student and mom of one. I go to North Lawndale on the West Side of Chicago. I am a junior there and so far Highschool has been a great run. My dad gave me the name Alana. My parents are mostly all about Alana Harvey.
High School
I have met a lot of nice people and got to learn many new things. I love my teachers they have played a big role in my success so far in high school. If I could change one thing since high school it would be the time school starts. I am not really a morning person so I would prefer afternoon hours. My favorite subject would be history. I really enjoy talking about past events before my time. I am fun, happy and genuine.
Motherhood
I take pride in bettering myself. I am now a mom of a little girl name A’mylah and she is 2-months-old and has been the best thing that has happen to me. Something else I love doing is being a mom. Yes, it can get over whelming sometimes but I love my daughter. She has motivated me in so many areas and pushed me to get where I am at. Because of her I want to do better and make something of myself. I am encouraged to get up and go get it everyday no matter how hard it gets.
I wanna be something for her and I want her to be a hustler like her mommy when she gets older. She have motivated me to change my life and focus more on ways to better my life. I am currently working this job and doing hair on the side to support me and my daughter. I love having two hustles and being able to take care of myself and my daughter. I am very independent and wont and don’t ask others to support me. I am happy with my life so far and with the success I have made. I have my mom and dad in my life and they have played a huge role in my progress. They support me in every decision I make.
All About Alana Harvey
On my free time I love to go outside and spend time with my friends. Every one knows Alana as the fun mommy friend. I love having kickbacks with my crowd. I am not too big on hanging with outsiders but I am open to new friends if that makes sense lol. I also enjoy going out to eat and trying new foods. Me, Alana, loves food. A new food that I have tried that I enjoy is sushi. Its not as bad as I thought. Shushi has a really mushy texture and taste mainly like all rice. If I had to rate it I would rate it A 7/10 only because of the texture.
My favorite food is seafood. Seafood is very good mainly when its spicy and sweet at the same time. My favorite place to eat seafood from is Cajun Boil. If you never tried it I will recommend. Each time I have had it I can say it was very good. I cant wait to go to Cajun Boil again. I love having fun that’s.
All About Alana Harvey’s Goals
After Highschool I will be going to cosmetology school and taking a class to be a CNA. I really love to do hair and one day I will own my own hair salon. I want to be a CNA because helping people is something I also take A lot of pride in. What better way to help the community than to help the elder. Doing these two things is a major goal for me after Highschool. After I complete those two things I will be even more Proud of myself. My current goals is to save enough for a car by the middle of next year.
I really need my own car to get around when I want and not have to depend on anyone to take me or my daughter anywhere. The steps I will take to reach this goal is starting with my first check I will save $20 it may not be as lot to save but I know it will add up and pay off eventually. I am going to complete all of these goals by pushing myself everyday no matter how hard it gets and no matter how long it takes.
