The Bravo crisis will now be spoken about by Andy Cohen, the star of the “Real Housewives” show, Bravo itself, and lifelong presenter of “Watch What Happens Live.”
During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Andy Cohen discussed his lawsuit with Bravo. The Bravo director and presenter stated, “Undoubtedly, being criticized is not fun. So, yeah, it is unpleasant.” Cohen and Bravo are facing accusations of sexual misconduct and discrimination litigation, suspicions of substance abuse on set, and concerns regarding payment and unethical employment techniques, all of which have cast a pall over the cable channel and its successful “Housewives” brand.
Caroline Manzo, a previous “Housewives” crew member, filed a lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and Peacock a while ago this year, alleging that a co-star, Brandi Glanville, had physically assaulted her. As reported by Deadline, the complaint further stated that Bravo & Andy. “permitted, supported, and occasionally promoted” Glanville’s “physically abusive and crude behavior on other people while on the premises” after “supplying Glanville with excessive quantities of booze so that she would act obnoxious.”
This isn’t the first complaint filed regarding Bravo in the past year. Previous “Real Housewives of New York” crew member Leah McSweeney seeks compensation from Andy and Bravo for prejudice and revenge, claiming that she is “a woman with impairments that include a dependency on alcohol and multiple mental illnesses, all in a profession of marketing conflict,” according to The Daily Beast. In a shocking magazine article a year prior, McSweeney claimed that filmmakers would conceal wine bottles on site to undermine her efforts to remain sober.
Cohen’s ‘No Regrets’

McSweeney is also accusing Andy of consuming coke with some of the other Housewives stars. Andy’s lawyer refuted the charges, claiming that the report was “filled with untrue, insulting, and slanderous allegations.”
During the interview, Andy Cohen addresses his case with Bravo. Cohen stated that although he was unable to respond on each of the charges, “What I will say regarding the drinking is the fact that there are plenty of healthy people as well as individuals who became clean during the television series. We’ve got folks who have never taken an alcoholic beverage throughout the whole life of the show,” like Luann de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, and Kandi Burris.
“Therefore, yes, there are definitely those who drink. Many individuals rarely drink. We do not pressure anybody to engage in anything at all. However, nobody is discreetly storing bottles of alcohol on set. That is outrageous. “We’ve been extremely supportive of people’s sobriety,” he explained.
Aside from the trial, Bravo was additionally at the beginning of labor campaigning by former “Housewives” star Bethenny Frankel. Since the dueling entertainment industry labor disputes this past year, Frankel has continued advocating for reality show actors to negotiate their own employment conditions, particularly appropriate salary. Frankel told Salon this past July that she earned only $7,250 for the pilot season of “RHONY.”
Cohen, who was once good friends with Frankel, believes that as an executive director, celebrities on reality television shouldn’t receive treatment like actresses since they “normally have multiple employment opportunities.” They are bar owners and developers. “They are psychiatrists.”
“I believe Bravo compensates individuals on an upfront basis – basically, they sell them out for a television series that may be split in specific ways, and the more years you stay, the greater your wage is. And compensation for long-term employees are very substantial,” he added.
Allegations Against Cohen and Bravo
When questioned about the harsh comments from erstwhile pals like Frankel, Andy stated, “Obviously, being victimized isn’t fun.” So, yeah, it is insulting. This is what made Andy Cohen Talk About His Lawsuit with Bravo.
However, the experienced presenter says he has “no regrets regarding the way I’ve conducted everything.” I believe that each and every thing occurs in your life influences the subsequent event that occurs. That is how I see it all.

Frankel and Leakes were already speaking out negatively concerning their experiences on Bravo, particularly with Cohen. During the September episode of Frankel’s Just B with Bethenny Frankel, the two of them confessed that they felt as if Andy genuinely never “favored” the two of them.
Leakes characterized their connection as “a real contest,” and Frankel concurred, stating, ” It indicates an element of psychology that goes on with these people and this series.” He used to be a manager and is now an executive producer, so there is this authority dynamic.”
Weeks earlier, Frankel had advocated for a “reality awakening” and begun campaigning for improvements in the field of reality television.
Leakes later, in April 2022, accused Andy, Bravo, and NBC Universal Studios, of misdoings. Claiming they went against federal labor and prohibition of discrimination statutes. Leakes eventually dropped her claim in August 2022.
