These Mass Shootings Continue Happening Across the Nation
The amount in which these shootings occur does not seem to decrease. It seems that it will not decrease any time soon either. Despite all the laws and regulations that are in place that are supposed to restrict guns across the nation, nothing seems to be working. There are more lives taken each and every day due to senseless acts like this one in Allen, Texas. Unfortunately, there were many lives that were taken in this mass shooting, and many families are devastated. The entire nation is devastated. Each and every day we hope for stronger action to be taken against weapons of high caliber being sold across the U.S. However, nothing seems to be done about this.
Details About the Allen Texas Mall Shooting and Gunman
The details about this shooting are as horrifying as they can get. “Eight people were killed in Saturday’s shooting, including children and relatives out together. At least seven more were injured,” according to CNN News. That is eight precious lives that were taken for absolutely no reason. These victims simply wanted to go out to Allen, Texas, and have a great time with their families.
This was ripped away from them, senselessly. There are other victims that are at the hospital trying their best to come out of this physically. However, mentally, it may be a huge challenge to overcome.

This gunman was named Mauricio Garcia and was a huge fan of violence altogether. The Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism stated there are social media posts showing he was “obsessed with violence.” He embraced misogynistic, antisemitic, white supremacist ideologies, and sports large SS and Nazi tattoos.
Clearly, it was only a matter of time before he did something of this magnitude, and they did not stop earlier him. A police officer shot and killed the gunman.
