There have been concerns about the company of Apple due to the newly released iPhone 15 models overheating. That has made Apple work on a software remedy. After the latest iPhones hit stores on Sep. 22, 2023, user complaints began to surface.
Negative side effects of the new iPhone 15
The company reported there were many different variables pushing its future lineup to heat up. Apple mentioned to CNN they might’ve found a few causes due to the condition of the iPhone being overly heated.
Apple also said that the current issues with overheating pose no danger to users and will have no long-term impact on the performance of impacted iPhone models. It also pointed out that iPhones feature built-in component protections designed to reduce temperature if it becomes too high.
The company stated they would work on app development, to fix the damage of the phone getting warm. Also, they located a bug on iOS 17, affecting some clients, and are expecting to release a software update that will fix the issue that has been reported. It has not yet been confirmed when the modification will be ready.
What Causes The Overheating
Furthermore, Apple pointed out that the mobile device might start to feel warmer in the first few days after being set up or restored due to “increased background activity.”
To begin, some newly updated third-party apps may overheat, leading them to “overload the system,” according to the company.
Apple’s support page cautions customers that recovering from a backup, installing graphic-intensive apps, downloading high-quality video, and charging effortlessly can cause a device to become heated. Some of those effective apps mentioned may be:

- Instagram.
- Snapchat.
- Uber.
- Arcade Racing Game Asphalt 9.
It was said the circumstances were normal, and the device will go back to a typical temperature when the operation has been completed. According to the business’ website, if your technology is showing a warning from temperature warning you may continue using your device.
Apple Attempting To Solve the Issue
The announcement comes as the iPhone 15 appears to be in high demand. Analysts at organizations such as Wedbush Securities reported that pre-orders had been doing better than expected. Additionally, they saw a strong demand for the premium iPhone 15 Pro products, particularly the Pro Max. Delivery and shipment dates for several Pro models have been pushed back by the end of October to mid-November.
The latest version of the iPhone arrived as Apple announced a drop in sales for the third consecutive quarter. The product’s income was $39.7 billion in the third quarter, a 2% year-over-year decrease as users refreshed the phones fewer times.
However, according to Wedbush, over 250 million iPhones have not been updated in more than four years. Advances in the CPU, camera, and charging system, as well as discounts from mobile carriers, may be more than enough to convince people to switch this year.
