Students Found Murdered in Dorms
It is becoming prevalent for students to be found dead in their school dorms. This has already happened many times within the past couple of years, and it seems to be rising even more. However, it is very hard for schools to keep track of what happens in their dorms, as it would be considered an invasion of privacy in different ways.
Therefore, in order to avoid potential court visits, they try their best to enforce safety, in a legal way. However, dorm rooms themselves are not equipped with cameras or any sort of surveillance monitor because of the aforementioned issue.
Therefore, since there are no cameras in these rooms, students can get away with almost anything they desire. Unfortunately, some students are able to commit murder, just like in this particular case in Campbellsville Kentucky.
Campbellsville Student Found Dead
There has been yet another student that has been found deceased in their dorm as a result of another student. The student who died was 18-year-old Josiah Kilman. Campbellsville police have mentioned that the result of this student’s death was strangulation.
It was also made apparent that the person who killed him, was a wrestler who was once on his team. Additionally, Campbellsville police have also mentioned that the motive as to which this murder was committed has still not been identified.
The Future of These Killings
Unfortunately, it seems that murders of this nature are not going to cease anytime soon. However, there is only so much an institution can do to protect their students.
However, there are still many people that are arguing that the school could certainly have done more, that what they did was not enough whatsoever. Many are angered by this news, especially parents.
Parents worry for their children when they are off to college, and it is now becoming a question of whether or not they will make it back home. This is not how it should be whatsoever, and something should certainly be done about this.
The future of this issue certainly needs to be discussed in the political spectrum.
