Thirty-three-year-old Jimmy Graham, a Chicago Bears tight end, wowed fans as he completed a pass for the touchdown on Oct. 9, 2020. Remarkably, he lept high, catching the ball in one hand while Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Jamel Dean grasped the other.
Graham, wearing jersey No. 80, signed on with the Bears during the offseason for a two-year contract of $16 million. The team’s general manager Ryan Pace took some heat after signing the veteran tight end. After only one season with the Green Bay Packers, it appeared as though the game had passed him by, according to Jordan Campbell for Fansided.
It appears Pace’s “gamble” paid off if the first five games of the season are any indication. Graham’s stats for with the Bears; 169 total yards and four touchdowns on 17 receptions.
Graham’s pro-football history began in New Orleans, 2010-14. He joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2015 and departed in 2017. From there, he moved on to the Packers playing the 2018-19 season. His career stats are 8,052 total yards and 78 touchdowns with 666 receptions.
