Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are now welcoming their newborn baby boy. He was just born on June 19, 2023, via a surrogate. The couple announced this exciting news on Wednesday in an Instagram post. Their newborn child’s name is Wren Alexander Stephens. The family could not be more happy and thrilled with his arrival.
Additionally, the name this precious child was given has a very importing meaning behind it, which the couple revealed as well. The name Wren Alexander was given to him because the surrogates name was “Alexandra.” As stated in a post to their surrogate.
“We want to thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra,” said the couple, also adding, “And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you.”
A very special and thoughtful name for the woman that filled them with joy.
Growing Family
Furthermore, the 37-year-old actress and model Teigen and 44-year-old musician Legend. Had previously given birth to their baby girl Esti on January 13 of this year as well. Now, with their new child, the previous family of five is now a big family of six, with their other two older children. Seven-year-old Luna and five-year-old Miles.
A dream come true for Teigen, whose greatest ambition in life was to have four children. Teigen has previously mentioned, “For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children.” With the arrival of Wren, this dream finally become a reality for the family. As Teigen and Legend added, “Our hearts and our home are officially full.”
A Tough Journey
Teigen and Legends’ Journey for their baby started after the loss of their previous child, Jack, mid-way through the pregnancy back in 2020. After this incredibly painful loss, Teigen decided in 2021 to look for a surrogate, as she did not feel strong enough to carry a child herself. Their look for a surrogate brought them to Alexandra. A surrogate who gave them the best gift of all.
Now, the couple has a great, adorable, healthy baby who they can not describe how much they love. Sharing a couple of posts of their newly born child with his full head of dark hair looking as if had been styled in a mohawk. Also, videos of the baby yawning and just showing how cute their baby truly is.
