McDonald’s is bringing back a menu item they sold for a brief time in March 2020. The Double Big Mac will be coming back for a limited time starting January 24. This mouthwatering burger has a total of four beef patties, instead of the traditional two. Furthermore, the rest of the sandwich is the same as it usually comes.
Double Big Mac
In 2020, the special sandwich’s arrival was announced just days before the COVID-19 pandemic took over the United States. When that happened, McDonald’s and many other companies were forced to cut operating hours. Furthermore, the fast food chain had to reduce special menu offerings, which included the Double Big Mac.
However, this version of the special Big Mac defers from the original slightly. In addition to having more meat, it will also have extra special sauce. Moreover, the sandwich will still be topped wit crisp lettuce, finely chopped onions, pickles, and a slice of American cheese. All of which are on “a fluffy sesame seed bun.”

This menu item will be available at participating McDonald’s around the nation. Throughout the years, the fast food restaurant has advertised many new specialty items. Some of which where limited time offers, while others became part of their regular menu.
A few example, McDonald’s Shamrock shakes, pumpkin pies, and a fan favorite, the McRib. They have also have been making changes to keep consumers happy. Recently, McDonald’s has vowed to open new restaurants over the next for years.
In fact, they are hoping to open nearly 10,000 new restaurants in that time frame. This would help add more job opportunities to those looking for employment. Furthermore, McDonald’s has “secretly” been working on a spin-off business called CosMc’s where they offer frappes, coffee, and quick bites. They just started to “test site” this project in Illinois last month.
On the Go
Furthermore, McDonald’s has been a long-time favorite place to grab a quick meal while on the go. Adding the Double Big Mac to the menu, offers consumers a twist to one of their most favorite sandwiches.
