Vin Diesel’s former assistant, Asta Jonasson, has filed a lawsuit claiming the “Fast & Furious” star sexually assaulted and battered her. Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges the actor sexually assaulted her in 2010 while he was filming “Fast Five.”
The alleged incident took place in Vin Diesel’s St. Regis hotel suite in Atlanta, Georgia. Jonasson claims she was told to wait in his suite as he entertained multiple women he brought back from the club. Furthermore, the suit accuses Vin Diesel of assaulting Jonasson shortly after the women left the hotel room.
Jonasson claims the actor grabbed her by her wrists “and pulled her onto the bed.” Moreover, the former assistant states she asked him to stop what he was doing and escaped his grasp. Then she went to the front door of the suit to wait for him to leave, according to Vanity Fair, who were the first to report the lawsuit.
Details About the Lawsuit
However, instead of leaving the suit, Jonasson claims Vin Diesel advanced on her once again. The actor supposedly groped the victim’s breast and kissed her chest, ignoring her pleas for him to stop. “Ms. Jonasson was afraid to more forcibly refuse her supervisor, knowing that getting him out of that room was both crucial to her personal safety and job security,” the lawsuit continued.
The suit then claims the actor “dropped to his knees.” Then, he pushed her “dress up toward her waist, and molested her body.” During the assault, Vin Diesel ran his hands along “Jonasson’s upper legs, including her inner thighs.”
Moreover, the lawsuit alleges Vin Diesel attempted to pull Jonasson’s underwear down. However, at she screamed and rushed down the hallway toward the bathroom. At which point, the actor pinned her to the wall, as he made her grab his erection. All the while Jonasson continued to refuse his advances, states the claim.
Furthermore, the suit alleges Vin Diesel continued to pin her to the wall with one side of his body as he pleasured himself. During which time, “Jonasson closed her eyes, trying to dissociate from the sexual assault and avoid angering him.” Then, hours later, the actors sister and president of his production company, Samantha Vincent, terminated her employment. A job she had for nine days.
Los Angeles Superior Court
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. In addition to Vin Diesel being named, the complaint also lists One Race Films (the actors production company), and 20 anonyms defendants. Furthermore, once the 20 additional individuals have been identified their names will be added to the complaint.
Jonasson does not list what capacity the unnamed Does had in the allegations against Vin Diesel. Which is something she is allowed to do under section 474 of the Code of Civil Procedure. However, the suit does not name specific acts perpetrated by these individuals. Although, the alleged acts most likely stem around the allegations against Vin Diesel and her “unlawful” firing.
Furthermore, the lawsuit claims she had been discriminated based on gender/sex, wrongfully terminated, worked in a hostile environment, retaliated against, and placed under intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Nondisclosure
When Jonasson was hired by One Race she was asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement. Due to the Speak Out Act, and California’s AB2777, she was able to override the agreement if there were instances of sexual assault and harassment.
