Ongoing Conflict in the Middle East
For a couple of years now, the Middle East has been undergoing several conflicts regarding different nations. Israel and Hamas have been battling for almost a year now, as a result of an attack Hamas had conducted against Israel that claimed the lives of around 1200 people in Israel. Therefore, as a result of this untimely attack, Israel decided to retaliate, and declared war against Hamas.
War has not been declared in Israel since 1973, so there has been a long stretch of time since any form of battle has taken place. However, there has been talk recently, that a potential cease-fire is to be agreed upon.
Talks of a Cease-Fire
As a result of the war, there have been more than 30,000 Palestinians that have died as a result of air-strikes or ground attacks. This number includes adults, as well as children. There are still many that are sheltering in different areas where strikes are not permitted to be sent. This is done to protect the living Palestinians from any strike or ground movement.
However, Hamas has agreed to a cease-fire proposal that was laid out by Egypt and Qatar, which could be a huge turning point in the war itself. However, there are people that fear Israel may deny this cease-fire proposal, and the war may continue. The reason because of this, is because Israel had proposed something different to which Hamas denied. However, it seems things have changed, and Israel may not agree with what was listed on the current proposal, which may further alter the decision they make.

The Future of This War
This war needs to be brought to an end in any way possible. There have already been too many lives that were taken as a result of this ongoing war. There needs to be a treaty that is made, to bring peace to these nations.
The proposal that was introduced may be a first step to the peace these nations and their people have been waiting for. However, the only thing that needs to happen is for Israel to approve this proposal, and for it to get under way.
