“Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in the hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia. Michael was 82. We ask that you respect our privacy at this painful time and thank you for your messages of support and love.”

Michael Gambon was born in Cabra, Ireland, on Oct. 19, 1940. The actors career first started when he joined the National Theater. Not to mention, soon after joining he began to play in a number of leading roles.
A main part of Michael’s early acting career years were in theater. Although, he became widely known for his appearance in six of the “Harry Potter” films, as Albus Dumbledore.

His last appearance in a movie was in 2019 called “Judy.” He played the role of Bernard Delfont. Apart from his well known performance on the “Harry Potter” movies, “The Singing Detective” is at the top of his best performances.
