The Houston Texans vs Cincinnati Bengals game
Every seat in the Paycor stadium was filled, all to watch the Houston Texans win against the Bengals in a close match. The ending scores were a very tight 30-27, with the Bengals taking the loss this time. However, this win isn’t as surprising because C.J. Stroud being on the Houston Texans team. Stroud has proved time and time again that he is becoming one of the most interesting rookies in the whole NFL. The last person that anyone can compare to this is Joe Burrow.
However, Stroud outdid Burrow and was the main one who put out the Cincinnati Bengals’ fire, ending their four-game win streak. Furthermore, this shows why Stroud was a second-overall pick by the Houston Texans.
One example of what Stroud did was when he was the one who led a drive during the last 93 seconds of the match, which placed Matt Ammendola in perfect range to make the game-winning field goal.
Many thought Houston was going to lose as the first quarter ended and they scored no points. But then in the second quarter, the Houston Texans must have locked in as they didn’t let the Bengals make a single point and went 10-0 for that round. Following the second quarter, the Texans did not show any sign of slowing down as they kept scoring, but both teams gained 10 points in the third and fourth quarters. Meaning the most important quarters were the first two for this game.
Bengals Injuries
The Houston Texans were playing hard and, just like every American football game, there were injuries. A few of the injuries on the Bengal’s side were Sam Hubbard with an ankle injury, Tee Higgins with a Hamstring injury, and Ja’Marr Chase with a back injury. Both Hubbard and Higgins are out due to their injuries and Chase is in question. His medical team is conversing about the injury to determine if he can still play.
But as Chase showed that the questionable injury wasn’t affecting him during the Houston Texans vs Bengals game, he was taken off the injury list for now and will remain in the next game which will be the Bengals against the Ravens.
Stroud isn’t the only upcoming rookie
Stroud is a good rookie, and that is a fact. But the Houston Texans have more upcoming rookies on their team. One of these rookies is Tank Dell, who is a receiver from the Texans and in a game against the Buccaneers, Dell caught two touchdown passes and scored 39-37 with the Texans in the lead, which resulted in the win. Another instance that shows the skill of Tank Dell is in the Texans vs Bengals match, in which Dell scored a 6-yard touchdown, C.J. Stroud passed the ball to him.
Tank Dell has this to say, “When everyone in the team starts to work together, the things we can do are near unlimited things. That’s all there is to it. I mean, we just keep running with the ball and C.J. Stroud just keeps throwing that ball and we will just keep winning these matches.” The Head coach of the Houston Texans DeMeco Ryans said, “Even when they’re off the field they have a strong bond as a team and it is something that isn’t seen very often now.”
