How are women important?
Women are a big part of why we are here but how do they impact/affect our life? Women impact our lives in ways, like as being mothers, sisters, aunts, and nieces. Exactly 120 famous women made huge impacts in our lives and half of us did not even know because we do not acknowledge their importance. These women have opened many doors for young women and have broken many barriers. My mom is a woman that is very important to me. She has taught me a lot of things that can be fundamental to the next generation.

Women that made a change.
Women like Emmeline Pankhurst led the women’s rights to vote movement and Anne Frank, a writer who spoke about the Holocaust. Rosalind Franklin helped scientists discover DNA. Princess Diana’s brave activism for the sick and underserved, coupled with relatability and impeccable style made her an international icon.
Madam C.J. Walker was the first Black woman to make hair-growing products for other Black women and supplied them with other needs. Corretta King is an activist for fighting against racial discrimination and raising awareness about economic disparity. Malala Yousafzai, who survived a shooting at the age of 15, fought for the right of women and girls to be able to get a proper education. Currently, women hold 50.04% of all jobs in the United States right now.
Breaking Barriers
Women being the first to do something is barrier-breaking. However once upon a time women were told or treated as if they could not do anything but cook, clean, and be housewives. They could not work, could not learn, or go to school. In countries like Afghanistan, women do not have any rights, most of them do not have a choice to marry or not, get an education, and cannot wear what they want. If they are caught outside generally most of them are killed.
Men mostly rule this place and they beat women for doing almost anything. According to news reports, Afghan men are misogynistic, manipulative, and arrogant. These women proved their bravery to stand for us and we should acknowledge them more.
How women in my life made a difference
The women in my life make a difference in my life by just being here in general. If it were not for my mom I would not be here let alone the person I am today. My grandmother has taught me to stay in school, make good decisions, and not make the same mistakes my parents made.
These are strong women who have had to fight these battles that society places upon them. My mom works with me on my attitude and the way I represent myself as a young woman. Not all women had the right to a proper education in a certain time zone and even now. So it is important that you listen to them so the things that they say can stick with you in the near future. We can help make a change by speaking up like the brave women in our lives.
