Titan Submersible and the Accident That Occurred
There was a submarine that was launched into the deep waters last week, in hopes of being able to look at the Titanic. The Titanic had sunk in very deep waters, and research on it has never been done before. That is something that this Titan Submersible was trying to achieve for the first time. However, there was a very terrible accident that had occurred. Five people that were onboard had their lives taken away, with absolutely nothing they could have done to prevent it. Therefore, it is safe to say it may take a while before another expedition of this nature occurs.
Human Remains Recently Discovered After Accident
Unfortunately, these five passengers that were onboard at the time of implosion ultimately died while underwater. There was nothing that these passengers could have possibly done. They had completely lost contact with those on the surface. In fact, contact was lost not long after they had submerged under the water. As investigations continue, they have found submersible debris, as well as what investigators presume to be human remains. “US Coast Guard said that presumed human remains and debris from the tourist submersible returned to the shore on Wednesday, June 28,” according to WION.

The Future of Submersibles of This Nature
After recovering the debris from this submersible, it is a large hope that future submersibles do not have something of this nature to occur. This is one of the primary reasons as to why debris is being pulled out of the water, to see what exactly had gone wrong with the submersible and to ensure that it does not occur within the near future. There are also crew members that are working incredibly hard to see what exactly went wrong.
“Crew members have been working around the clock now for 10 days, through the physical and mental challenges of this operation, and are anxious to finish the mission and return to their loved ones,” according to CNN News. It is very unfortunate that these five people, who were only trying to learn more and see the Titanic up close, had their lives ended in this way.
