Disturbing Finding in a House
Recently, Chicago Police made a devastating discovery inside a house on the north side of the city. Monday morning police made the shocking finding, when they found human remains. The police was called to the scene around 11 a.m. 2800 block of West Fitch Avenue. The owner of the home was an elderly man who had just recently passed away. His family went to to house to clean it out. This is when they found a human skeleton in the house and called the police.
This was an obvious shock to both the family and the police as this skeleton was there for a very long time. A neighbor stated that she had spoken to the sister of the elderly man. That is when she told the neighbor of the human remains she had found in his house. “She just said they found body in the basement. The doors were locked and moth balls all over,” said the neighbor who preferred to stay anonymous.
Human Remains Still Not Identified

The medical examiners office has identified the body of the man who owned the home, 79-year-old Gerald Harris. His time of death has been estimated to be on February 3 and due to natural heart related causes. However, some neighbors say that he probably passed away months prior. Some neighbors state that they were under the impression that he was living alone. He was so lonely and always spent time in his car. Harris also seemed to have an obsession with McDonald’s. They say that even though he was lonely, whenever he got the chance to talk, he would chat for a while.
Even though Harris was identified, the human remains found in the house have not. There is no information on the remains or whether Harris has anything to do with it. There is still not a time frame for how long the skeleton has been there. However, due to it being a skeleton its probably been a very long time. Neighbors cannot believe that someone like Harry could possibly have been able to do such thing. And with no ID on the human remains, police cannot conclude what happened to this unidentified body.
