Iran-backed Drone Attack
There was an attack this past Sunday that took place in Jordan. This attack took the lives of 3 innocent and brave U.S soldiers. The drone was not able to be told apart from a friendly. Therefore, this lead to the terrible tragedy that took place. Not only did it kill 3 U.S soldiers, it injured around 40 more. However, it is expected that they make a full recovery.
This is in response to the attacks made by the U.S on Iran-backed Houthis. These Houthis are targeting vessels in the Red Sea. Additionally, this is the first time that U.S soldiers have been killed as a result of an attack. However, President Joe Biden has made it clear that he is going to respond adequately to the situation.
Joe Biden Remarks
Joe Biden has made it absolutely clear that he feels for the families that have lost these 3 brave soldiers. He has also mentioned that he is going to respond to these attacks, but unfortunately it is not known how exactly he will respond.
However, many are afraid of the response, especially because of the risk of leading to a greater conflict. However, Joe Biden has made it clear that he does not want to escalate things to a greater level. He wants to take action in a dignified and solemn manner.
The Future of These Tensions
The last thing that Americans want is a world war. This mostly depends on the way that President Biden is going to respond to these attacks. However, he has also mentioned that he will be attending the transfer of these soldiers’ bodies and will assist the families in any way they need. If this does happen to lead to a broader conflict, there will certainly be many more people that end up dead because of it.
Subsequently, this leaves many Americans in a state of wonder, as Biden can carry out his plan at any time of his choosing, as he stated. Therefore, time will certainly tell the outcome of this situation, but the way things are currently looking, they may end up negative in this instance.
