Josh Peck spoke out on the Nickelodeon abuse allegations made by Drake Bell. This is regarding when Bell was interviewed on the documentary series “Quiet on Set The Dark Side of Kids TV.”
Where Is Brian Peck Now?
In 2004, former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck pleaded no contest to sexually abusing Drake Bell. ID’s docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” delves into what happened on the Nickelodeon sets when the cameras weren’t rolling. One of those topics being the sexual abuse conducted by Brian Peck.
The four-part series, which premiered on March 17, features interviews with former cast members and crew. In the interviews, they discuss the alleged toxic and abusive work environment.
Nickelodeon star Drake Bell, known for his performance on “Drake & Josh,” spoke out on his experience. Bell alleges Peck repeatedly molested him when he was a child. In 2004, in connection with Bell’s case, the charges of oral copulation with a minor under 16 as well as a charge of performing a lewd act with a 14 or 15 year old’s.
As the docuseries explores Peck’s history with Nickelodeon and the allegations against him. Here’s everything to know about where he is now.
Who is Brian Peck?
Brian Peck got his start in the entertainment industry as an actor. Appearing in 1980s films such as “Return of the Living Dead” and the hit sitcom “Growing Pains.”
Also, he was hired as a dialogue coach, working with Nickelodeon on various projects. During the early 1990s, he appeared on various children’s programs, as both an actor and a dialogue coach.
In addition to television, he continued to work on notable films in the early 2000s. Such as “Holes” starring Shia LaBeouf and a dialogue coach for “Love Wrecked” starring Amanda Bynes.
Josh Peck Speaks Out after Watching Nickelodeon Quiet on Set Doc
Josh Peck wrote on Instagram: “I finished the ‘Quiet On Set’ documentary and took a few days to process it.”
Peck goes on to say that he personally reached out to Drake. In efforts to show his support for Bell as well as other survivors. “….[I] want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world.” He also states his hope that with these allegations being brought to light will help bring change within the film industry.
Peck’s lack of involvement in the doc fueled speculation, prompting some social media users to flood the comments of his posts on TikTok and Instagram with questions about the series and his seeming lack of support for his former costar. Which is the reason why Peck speaking out on the Nickelodeon abuse allegations.
“Drake & Josh,” created and executive produced by Schneider, revolved around the antics of two teen stepbrothers (Bell and Peck) with opposing personalities and Drake’s bratty little sister Megan. It aired on Nickelodeon for four seasons, beginning in 2004.
Josh Peck is best known for his performance alongside Drake Bell, in “Drake & Josh.” Having starting his acting career in the film, “Snow Day” and also appearing on Nickelodeon sketch comedy series, “The Amanda Show.”
Drake Bell Speaks
After Bell broke his silence about his abuse in “Quiet on Set,” Nickelodeon released a statement that said, “Now that Drake Bell has disclosed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 case.”
“I was going through so much in my personal life, and after that (initial) interview. I ended up checking myself into rehab,” he shared, adding that after he did trauma therapy while at the rehab facility, he felt comfortable to move forward. In response to the abuse he suffered at the hands of “Amanda Show” dialogue coach Brian Peck.

Speaking on “The Sarah Fraser Show” podcast on Friday. After everything that has happen, Bell finally told his mother what was happening in 2003, Bell to cut his dad out of his career. Once his father was no longer his manager, Peck began to take Bell to auditions himself. One morning, Bell woke up to find Peck sexually assaulting him.
Bell says the stress was “overwhelming,” so much so that he began to lose hair and had scabs on his head. He has struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues and says he continues to work through his trauma. “Quiet on Set” explores the toxic work culture on the set of Dan Schneider’s immensely popular children’s shows for Nickelodeon, including “ICarly,” “Victorious,” “Zoey 101,” and more, through the accounts of former child stars and crew members.
