Jussie Smollett’s Background
Everyone knows Jussie Smollett from the movies that he has starred in, as well as the songs that he has sung. He is a songwriter, as well as an actor, and has been well known throughout both industries. He has starred in movies such as “Empire,” “Alien: Covenant,” “Marshall,” and many more. However, Jussie Smollett has been under a lot of pressure and a lot of stress as a result of balancing both careers. Additionally, he is also known for the stunt that was pulled in 2019, where he alleged that two “Trump supporters” attacked him. However, it was proven it was not true, and was something that he had staged from the beginning.
Jussie Smollett Entering Rehab
After these years, and after working on himself for quite a while after this incident, Jussie Smollett has entered himself into a rehab facility. However, no one really knows exactly why he has checked himself in. TMZ was the first to report that Smollett had entered a rehab treatment facility’s outpatient program. Additionally, it is assumed that he has had a lot of trouble within the last couple of years since the incident.
There has been an ongoing communication with those that work with Jussie Smollett, and they have provided their insight as to the condition of Jussie Smollett. “The rep tells us, ‘Jussie has had an extremely difficult past few years. He has quietly been working very hard for some time now and we are proud of him for taking these necessary steps.’ We’re told Smollett is in an outpatient program,” according to TMZ News.
Post Attack Stunt
After the stunt that he had pulled, he had been sentenced to 150 days in jail. There were many people, including those that he was acting with, that had said they missed him, and needed him back on the set. However, his 150 days were cut short, as he appealed and was let go. After this entire proceeding, he had gone MIA for a couple of years. In 2021 when he appeared on the red carpet for the first time.
Many actors and fans were glad to see him back on the carpet. “After keeping a relatively low profile following the hate crime hoax, Smollett attended his first red carpet appearance in years when he arrived at a screening of his directorial debut ‘B-Boy Blues’ at the AMC Magic Johnson Harlem multiplex in New York City in November 2021,” according to People.
Seemingly, despite everything that had occurred as a result of the hoax that he had pulled, had ultimately been “forgotten” as the years went by. Additionally, he was forgiven by fans and actors alike, and was welcomed back to the scene in a flash. However, due to his recent check in, many wonder if Jussie Smollett is okay. Many hope that he will receive the help that he needs.

The Future of This Decision
Jussie Smollett has not updated about anything in regards to this. There is a hope that his representatives keep everyone updated on his condition. Additionally, many are happy that he took this step to better himself. His representatives have said that he has been under a lot of stress for the past couple of years.
However, it is still unknown how long he is going to be in the facility. Also, if it is going to help him in any way. However, fans and actors alike wish him the best and fastest recovery. He has a lot of support behind him as he makes this decision for himself. Updates are constantly posted as time goes on in relation to his condition.
