Jonathan Majors’ Career
Jonathan Majors began his marvel career in the first season of “Loki” starring as ‘Kang the Conqueror’ and has left a lasting impact on the marvel series. Many people knew who he was and were excited to see him play this special part. Furthermore, due to the battles between both DC and Marvel series, he was playing several different variations of the same character. This gave his character a sense of uniqueness, and he played his part very well, according to millions of Marvel fans. However, things have taken a drastic turn, as he was charged with assaulting his former girlfriend.
What Exactly Happened?
The unexpected had surely occurred, as nobody had expected Jonathan Majors to turn around and do something of this nature against anyone, let alone his girlfriend. “Majors, a rising star who has appeared in Disney’s Marvel franchise and “Creed III,” was convicted in December of one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree and a non-criminal charge of harassment as a violation,” according to CNN News.
His former girlfriend also spoke up about what she had to go through and witness. She was clearly distressed, and she explained that “He is not sorry. He has not accepted responsibility. He will do this again,” according to a victim impact statement given to NPR News.
The judge that was presiding this case had made the verdict that he did not need jail time. Instead, he was sentenced to a 52-week mandatory domestic violence prevention program. However, it is obvious that the victim is clearly scared that this will not be enough for Jonathan Majors, and that he needs something, such as jail time, to really wake him up.
The Future of This Incident
There is clearly a lot of anger and distrust in the system after this verdict. Additionally, many women are speaking out about this verdict. They are saying it is completely unjust and that he deserves to be behind bars. However, there are others that agree with this verdict. They are saying that this program can truly turn his life around for the better. However, after all of this legal drama, Marvel has also made the decision to completely drop him from the series and any future movies.
