Miles Bridges is a professional basketball player known for his explosive athleticism and dynamic playing style in the NBA. Miles was born March 21, 1998 in Flint, Michigan. He made a name for himself as a standout player during his college career at Michigan State University. This where he first showcased his versatility and scoring ability on the court.

In 2018, Miles was drafted by the charlotte Hornets as the 12th overall pick in the NBA draft. This marked the start of his professional basketball journey. At this time he quickly adapted to the amount of competition in the NBA. In fact, as a rookie he showcased his skills and contributed significantly to his teams success.

Miles Bridges recently found himself at the center of a major controversy. Allegations have surfaced claiming the Bridges has violated regulations related to his basketball career. Following the alleged assault of his girlfriend, Bridges was arrested in June 2022 for a felony domestic violence charge. He received three years of probation but no jail time.
Soon after he was suspended from participating in any upcoming games. The consequences of this suspension extend beyond Bridges himself, influencing team dynamics and competitive dynamics within the league. This has not only affected Bridges personally but also sparked a serious debate within the basketball community.

Bridges Returning to the NBA
The Charlotte Hornets have confirmed Bridges is expected to be returning to the NBA Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Miles had sat out a entire season and completed a ten game suspension this season. Although his court date is currently pending as it was set for this week but rescheduled to Feb. 20, 2024, he will be allowed to play in the meantime.
In a statement the Charlotte Hornets said, “We are comfortable with Miles returning to play based on our current understanding of the facts of the recent allegations and remain in contact with the NBA as that matter proceeds through the court process.”
The return of Bridges is expected to give a massive boost to the Hornets who have went 3-7 during his absence this season. Miles is considered one of the teams best players and has outstanding chemistry with his teammate LaMelo Ball. During the 2021-22 season, LaMelo and Bridges showed great team work and playmaking abilities.
Furthermore, during that time, some of the easiest scores came from lob passes between the two players. This allowed the Hornets to create easy offense in transition. Given the fact LaMelo and Bridges are good friends off the court, it makes sense why things look effortless. With the return of Miles, the Hornets can expect these two will emerge as leaders of the team and possibly lead them to a spot in the Playoffs.
