My Mom
We all have someone in our lives who means the world to us, and for many of us, that person is our mother. My mom is the one person who was always there for me, no matter what. She is the person who gave me and my brother’s life. My mom nurtured us from infancy and has been there for every milestone and challenge we have faced. She is the best mother anyone could ask for, and it’s not even close. From the moment I was born, she has been a constant presence in my life, providing love, support, and guidance every step of the way.
Her Selflessness
One of the things I admire most about my mom is her selflessness. She always puts the needs of others before her own and is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. When my brothers and I were growing up, she would go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Whether it was cooking our favorite meals or driving us to school and extracurricular activities, she always put our needs first.
Her Patience

My mom is also an incredibly patient person. As a child, I was always full of questions, and my mom never hesitated to take the time to answer them all. She would sit with me for hours, patiently explaining the world and its wonders. As I grew older, her patience was tested even further, as I became a teenager and started to push boundaries and make mistakes.
Even now she still houses my two older adult brothers when she could’ve kicked them out at any time after 18. She once said, “This house is a place for you all to grow and develop, I don’t want you to leave this place not knowing what your gonna be in life.” Through it all, she remained patient, always willing to listen and offer guidance when needed.
Her Strength
Another thing I admire about my mom is her strength. She is incredibly strong physically and mentally, she had to birth 6 children for goodness sake. Life has thrown many challenges our way, and a lot of financial setbacks, but she has always faced them head-on. I don’t know how she did it but she made sure we always had a comfortable living, the situations got bad at times but even then she was always there to comfort us.
When my dad divorced and left us unexpectedly a few years ago, it was a devastating blow for our entire family. But my mom was a rock, holding us all together and providing comfort and support when we needed it most. Her strength and resilience continue to inspire me every day.
Conclusion
Of course, it’s not just my mom’s selflessness, patience, and strength that make her such an amazing mother. It’s also the little things that she does every day, the things that show how much she loves and cares for us. Whether it’s leaving a text every week saying “I love you” or calling just to say she’s thinking of me, my mom always goes the extra mile to make us feel loved and valued.
As I look back on my life, I realize how lucky I am to have a mother like mine. She has been there for every milestone, every achievement, and every setback. She has taught me so much about life and its challenges and has shown me what it truly means to be a good person.
In closing, I would like to say thank you to my mom for everything she has done for me and my brothers. Thank you for your relentless love, your endless patience, and your incredible strength. Thank you for being there for us through thick and thin, for always putting our needs before your own, and for being the best mother anyone could ask for. I love you, Mom.
