Nicki Minaj Allegations
Nicki Minaj, born as Onika Tanya Maraj, is a 41-year-old Trinidadian woman in today’s female rap industry. She has been apart of the community since the early 2000’s. Recently, she has had plenty time on her hands to diss Megan Thee Stallion on the social media platform, X.
This is due to Megan dropping a new song called “Hiss,” with a mock of Megan’s Law reference towards Nicki and her husband Kenneth Petty. An attempted rape charge was slammed in court on Kenneth Petty in 1994. Apparently, Petty had tried this on a 16 year old girl. Megan’s Law is the name for a federal law in the United States requiring law enforcement authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders.
Nicki Minaj went on to respond to Megan’s insult, for three days straight! The continued rage and rave from Nicki encouraged spectators to think she was charging her madness with illicit substance. This is not the first time cocaine accusations have been placed.
One user on X stated, “Song so ass she literally spent a minute and a half on coke and decided ‘yeah this is DEFINITELY going to end her,” while sharing the track. Last November, Nicki Minaj admitted to a Percocet addiction but claimed to have stopped. She asserts that she did not know it was a narcotic nor that it was addictive. Her late father, Robert Maraj, briefly abused crack cocaine during his life as well. This is not noted to be ran in the family, we only know of Nicki and her father.
Nicki’s Response
The artist seems to not be bothered by the substance abuse allegations, instead she’s laughing them off. She responds by saying things like, “Whenever you see coke rant you know they’re mad” and “I’ve never done coke in my life, but if I did I’d do it proudly.”
These allegations has seemingly followed Nicki through most of her rap career, starting around her late 2000’s mixtape era. In 2021, Azealia Banks also accused Nicki Minaj of substance abuse. All throughout the year, people couldn’t help but to notice her constant sniffles on her Instagram live videos which left watchers believing she had done cocaine prior to the broadcast.
Minaj responded on Instagram live by saying, “I don’t know if it’s just me, but I wouldn’t be embarrassed about any f-cking drugs I did.” I don’t know how Nicki does it so well but she has always calmly denied all allegations. The latest rumors have sparked up from Nicki’s bitter feud with Megan.
Barbz Doxing
Not long ago, a TikTok user, Bela Delgado was forced to make his account private because of Nicki Minaj’s fanbase after he praised Megan’s diss “Hiss.” He dragged Nicki in a TikTok video where he declared her a “disgusting and reprehensible person by pretty much all metrics of basic humanity and common decency.”
Due to his actions, ‘Barbz (Minaj fans) have been attacking him. Subsequently, he has felt some regrets leading him to publicly apologize. Delgado says that the ‘Barbz has been messaging his family, even some friends of his, and apparently they got someone’s address. Fans have also been doxing the location of Megan Thee Stallion’s mother’s tombstone.
On the Defense
The ‘Barbz have also made a plan to vandalize her latter mother’s gravesite. Social media users that are not Barbz have not been pleased with these threats. One X user says. “So the Barbz have found where Meg mom’s grave is and told others to go desecrate that lady grave. This is beyond disgusting and now it’s time to fully cancel that woman and her cult.” More users have lambasted the person who leaked the location and has continuously mentioned them in tweets. This has led the X user to make their account private.
Even though some accusations come from fans of Megan, she is not known to have made any cocaine comments. As long as Nicki Minaj has been denying these allegations, people still accuse her of lying. Although she isn’t the only person in the industry getting accused, the topic tends to go on for days, maybe weeks when it comes to Nicki.
