Trump Supporters in the Nation
During Donald Trump’s presidency, he made a lot of controversial decisions, which changed many peoples’ views about who he really was. Many people also argued that he was a racist who should not ever been give control over the government of the United States. This fact contributed to the reasons why he did not win the election over current President Joe Biden.
However, it seems that there are many things that are changing prior to the 2024 election. Donald Trump has been winning over a lot of potential voters and has made multiple speeches promising to change the current state of the U.S economy. As the years have progressed under Biden’s leadership, the number of Trump supporters are increasing prior to the 2024 election, but why?
Housing and Inflation
A lot of young voters have seen first-hand how the Biden Administration has been handling inflation and the housing market. Using a very popular app called TikTok, many young people have expressed their resentment and anger towards the way Biden and his team are handling the increasing prices. Many are angry at the fact that Joe Biden continues to give support to other countries before his own people.
More so, they are angry at the fact that Joe Biden promised to help Americans first, and put Americans first, yet many feel he is doing the complete opposite. Therefore, this has been a major talking point, and may have greatly influenced the reason as to why many are turning against him. This can further explain how the number of Trump supporters are increasing prior to the 2024 election.
As Inflation Increases, Wages Do Not
Controlling inflation is challenging, and it seems likely to continue rising. Consequently, many Americans argue for an increase in minimum wages. If inflation outpaces wages, the struggle to afford basic needs intensifies. The cost of groceries has become a particular point of frustration.
Previously, under the Trump Administration, a week’s worth of groceries typically cost less than $100. However, under the Biden Administration, the same groceries weeks total often exceeds $100, which has led to an increase in the number of Trump supporters due to perceived inaction by the current administration. The number of Trump supporters is increasing prior to the election, and the reasons why are favorable towards the American people.
Policies Created by Donald Trump
Donald Trump also created multiple policies that heavily favor the Latino and African American communities. “Policies like the First Step Act, opportunity zones and funding for historically black colleges and universities have paid off,” according to the New York Post. The policies implemented have demonstrated a prioritization of the American populace, signaling a shift from previous tendencies to overlook their concerns in favor of other matters.

What is the Current Percentage of Black Voters for Trump?
As it stands, Donald Trump has currently received 18% of the vote from Black voters, something that has not been seen for 60 years. That is, it will become history if this percent is maintained until November of 2024. “No GOP candidate since Richard Nixon in 1960 has won more than 13% of the Black vote with only Nixon in 1972 and George W. Bush in 2004 topping 10%,” according to Intelligencer. It is clear that Donald Trump is doing something different, and many young voters are standing alongside him.
The Potential Downfall
Despite receiving significant support from Latino and Black communities, his potential presidency may include a substantial deportation initiative primarily affecting Latinos, possibly discouraging their electoral support. He also aims to terminate birthright citizenship and enforce family separations at the border.
Many Latinos, unaware of these plans, might be dissuaded from voting for him. Similarly, his proposed policies to ban discussions on “critical race theory” and mandate “stop and frisk” practices could alienate Black voters. These measures typically affect young Black men, potentially impacting their community’s voting decisions in the upcoming presidential election.
The Future of These Votes
Votes play a pivotal role in determining the next President. Weighing the pros and cons of each candidate is essential, as is thorough research before making an informed decision. Adequate time is provided to ensure voters can carefully select a candidate.
Ultimately, the collective well-being of the American populace should take precedence. If a candidate emphasizes this and aligns with the public’s interest, they are likely to earn votes. With November still some time away, voters have ample opportunity to consider their options.
