What makes people do bad or good things? Perspective does.
Perspective is what makes every human different and special. I believe that no one can truly know someone else’s perspective only because of all the factors that make a humans perspective so many factors to account for that it’s unable to calculate in a precise way or it’s just that I don’t know I’m not educated in human Psychology or in any human behavior of any sorts.
But even the idea of good and evil is a matter of perspective and moral codes. So is there really a good or bad?
My reasoning
The reason I’m even writing this is that I was told to write about something that stuck with me, bad or good. I sat here trying to remember something, anything. But in the end, nothing. The only thing I can think of is that my mind was a void full of nothing, with no shapes, color, height, length, or width. What that might look like? I don’t know. I guess it’s the same as what a blind person sees, which is nothing.
How I felt about not knowing what to write changed my perspective on how this article will turn out.
Funny How Emotions Change Perspective
The one thing that really stuck with me in my life was my perspective and it has helped me to choose different things. It made me who I am, changed with me, and learned with me. It’s one of the only things every human has in the end. However, differs from other humans and may be similar but always different.
My perspective on things that stuck with me is that they didn’t matter because it wasn’t gonna change me for the worse. To be honest, I can’t remember a time that changed my perspective majorly.
Examples of perspective
Music is an example of perspective. Some people like certain songs more than other people do, but we gotta also factor in the theory of familiarity, which might be another reason someone likes a certain type of song.
This doesn’t only apply to music or a story, this applies to everything u can think of. Even how someone dresses can change how u look at them or how they talk, sound, walk, and so many other factors.
Optical illusions are something I also like because the perspective on it changes depending on how you look at it.
Maybe I’m wrong about all this or maybe I’m right, but that’s for your perspective to decide.
Romeo and Juliet Perspective
One way I know how to try to understand or make an educated guess about someone’s perspective is by looking at their character. We can take Romeo and Juliet as an example of almost everyone’s favorite tragedy story.
Some see it as a love story, even though it was written as a tragedy. However, I can see why they think it’s a love story. Personally, I have no side. To me, it’s a story about two who are too blinded by “love” to care for others, but others might disagree. They could say because of their love, the feud between both families ended. However, that could have been done in other ways. Additionally, due to their love, multiple people died, including the lovers.
Last, if someone was to actually look at the characters, we can make an educated guess of the characters’ perspective and reasoning for their actions.
For example, we can take Tybalt. Most say he’s short-tempered, violent, and vengeful. But I think otherwise I believe he isn’t short-tempered just takes respect and honor highly. That’s why he becomes vengeful against Romeo. Because Romeo did disrespectful things without knowing it.
In conclusion, Tybalt was right for his actions towards Romeo and Juliet, and if you think otherwise, you most likely don’t share a similar perspective, or you haven’t really looked into his perspective.
About Perspective
That’s just an example of how we can use the actions and looks of a character to help us understand someone’s perspective, which will help us understand the reasoning behind their actions
That works to a point. Because perspective isn’t the only factor that helps us choose what to do. Our moral code can also affect what we do and our feelings can outdo our moral codes depending on the situation at hand.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Other people can affect what you do, what you feel, and everything about you. That’s why it’s important to surround yourself with people who benefit you and them.
If you don’t know what that means, just look at how your life was without them.
Did it become better or did it become worse with them?
Are you actively growing and learning with them?
Are they affecting u in a good way mentally, physically, and emotionally?
Those are just some questions you can ask yourself, but then again, how would you know most people don’t want to let people go even though they know it’s what’s best for them? Why? I wouldn’t know because I do what’s best for me. Call me selfish, but I think otherwise. Because my best self is reliable, trustworthy, comforting, smart, cunning, and will benefit others, so really I’m doing what’s best for me so I can help others do their best as well.
But that’s just my perspective on what people, including myself, should do.
