Welcome to the Phalanx Family Services Pullout Section of the Chicago Leader!
Thank you to all who supported our annual “Back-to-School Event.” For our 20th Anniversary, this year’s event was bigger than ever as we marked the return to school for our community youth with free food, music, live entertainment, games, raffles, giveaways, and much, much more.
Wraparound Services
I’d also like to take this opportunity to talk about our expanded wraparound services. Through partnerships with United Way and the South Side Chicago Healthy Chicago Organization (SSHCO), we are providing greater outreach to meet community needs. Individuals and families can receive assistance with rent, utilities, groceries, housing, IDs, transportation, legal aid, digital literacy, eyeglasses, employment & training, new employment expenses, and more!
Coming soon, we will be hosting our annual “Fall Fest” in October, with the date to be announced. As well, the event promises to be bigger than ever. There will be free food, live music, entertainment, games, raffles, rides, goodie bags, and giveaways.
Health and Stability
For the health and stability of our communities and families for generations to come, if you haven’t already, we encourage you to please get your COVID-19 vaccination and boosters. We hope you’ll take advantage of every opportunity to make our communities safer, healthier, and stronger against the threat of COVID-19.
