During a Monday news conference, the deputy commissioner Frank Vanore stated that police identified suspects.  According to Vanore, Jamaal Tucker, 18, turned himself in. But Ahnile Buggs, also 18, was arrested over the weekend. Each was being held on $16 million bond, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said Wednesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, U.S. prosecutors and Philadelphia law enforcement apprehended a third suspect. Jermahd Carter, 19, in Northeast Philadelphia, prosecutors confirmed Tuesday night. Carter’s bail has been set at $4 million, according to the district attorney.

“With the arrest of Jermahd Carter, we are now seeking one more suspect,” stated by Robert Clark, Senior deputy US marshal for an eastern Pennsylvania criminal work Force. Press release an issued Tuesday. “We have asked this suspect’s family for a surrender by tomorrow morning. If this does not occur, we are prepared to aggressively pursue him with every investigative resource available.”

Wednesday afternoon, the Marshals’ department confirmed the fourth suspect as Asir Boone, 17. As announced, his timeframe to turn himself in had past. Officials announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

After CNN reached the Defender Association of Philadelphia. the organization’s spokesperson offered no comment about its client. Therefore the lawyer listed in the court papers representing Buggs did not reply to CNN’s request for comment. Buggs’ lawyer declined to reply to CNN’s request for comment. Investigators had been searching for additional people who were in the vehicle, Vanore said Monday. “And we’re going to relentlessly move with our investigation. Not only those people but this group. All those who may have aided and assisted them. we’ll be looking for them, too.”

The Injured And Deceased

The incident occurred Wednesday as students from Northeast High School were ready to board a bus home.

The occurrence has sparked fears regarding the safety of public transportation in the city. Weapons continue to be the most common cause of death among children and teenagers across the country. Therefore, including the recent one, there has been 74 mass shootings reported in the first 73 days of this year. In accordance with the Gun Violence Archive, which identifies situations during which four people. Not including shooters, are killed by gunshot.

As reported by Philadelphia police, there was a total of eight victims shot on March 6. Such as two 15-year-olds, five 16-year-olds, and a 17-year-old, with one 16-year-old being shot nine times.

The murderous assault transpired just days after a fatal school-related shooting in Philadelphia. During the March 4 shooting, a teenager was killed, two other teens were injured. Plus two women on a bus were hit by bullets in an incident. Therefore authorities termed “targeted” Bethel stated that there “may be” a link connecting the two shootings. “We still have a lot of work to do to make that formal connection.”

Also this past week, authorities say a 37-year-old man died from a gunshot wound. Departing a bus in South Philadelphia after an incident on board. A 27-year-old guy was murdered by another passenger right after they both off a bus in the city’s Oxford Circle district.

Therefore authorities were investigating into how the incident was related to the deadly shooting of a 17-year-old. charter school student. whom was fatally wounded 40 times at close range. After he boarded a public bus in the Ogontz neighborhood Four other people were hurt. Including a 70-year-old woman.

To support achieving this during these very tough times.” She stated that the city was focusing on “prevention”. Therefore at Monday’s press conference. Police requested eyewitnesses and any individual with information about the March 6 shooting to share it with police.

According to Philadelphia District Attorney Lawrence Krasner, Tucker and Buggs potential charges associated with each of the eight victims.
