Pumpkin Can Help the Body

Pumpkin has vitamin C, zinc, and selenium that help your immune system. Additionally, a pumpkin is made of 90% water, which can help hydrate the body. Dehydration can impact your immune health because it makes eliminating toxins and waste materials from the body, a difficult task.

Pumpkins can help with eye health because it has vitamin A, zeaxanthin, and carotenoids lutein. All of which can help one’s eye health. Lutein and zeaxanthin are the only dietary carotenoids that accumulate in the retina. In fact, lutein and zeaxanthin are the only dietary in the macula. Which is called macular pigments to be specific. If a person consumes lutein and zeaxanthin it can reduce the risk of having macular degeneration.

Blood pressure and Heart

If you have high blood pressure it can put a strain on your heart. When you have healthy blood pressure levels it helps you maintain a healthy heart.

Pumpkins has calcium, potassium, and magnesium that can help one’s heart. And those three nutrients help individuals manage their hypertension and their diet. And, it has low sodium which can help with having a healthy blood pressure.

Healthy Skin and Antioxidants

Antioxidants are important, they fight off free radicals. These are produced by metabolisms in one’s body.  If free radicals levels are at a high level it can cause cancer and heart disease in your body.  Antioxidants can stop these free radicals. Eating pumpkin helps your body stop these free radicals from damaging your cells. Studies have shown that antioxidants can protect your skin and lower the risk of having cancer, eye issues, and other health issues. Pumpkins have a lot of antioxidants and beta carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, and alpha carotene.

Many individuals go through extreme measures to maintain or have healthy skin. You shouldn’t spend a lot of money on skin care products, you can just eat pumpkin. Pumpkin has many good nutrients that can help you have healthy skin. Vitamin C and B in it both help protect your skin from damage like premature wrinkles.

These vitamins also help promote collagen production and improve circulation. Furthermore, both vitamins can improve elasticity and skin cell renewal. Additionally, pumpkins have copper and iron. These help you have both healthy skin and hair.  They also work to maintain cell membranes and fight off acne.

Hair Growth

Eating the seeds everyday can help you with hair loss and hair thinning. Seeds from pumpkins have a lot of zinc, copper, and selenium. These nutrients can help better your hair, which is beneficial if you have hair thinning. It especially helps men who suffer from baldness that is caused by excess testosterone. If you use the seeds on your hair for growth the best way is to apply pumpkin seed oil to your scalp. Also you can eat a handful of seeds everyday for hair growth.

There are amino acids in the seeds such as arginine, lysine, and glutamic. The acids in the seeds help you have healthy hair. Moreover, they have a high level of iron that helps strengthen your hair. The magnesium in pumpkin seeds can also help strengthen your hair and improve your hair health.
