The Sacramento Kings focus for the 2023-24 NBA season is championship gold. The organization has not even been a part of the Western Conference finals in over 20 years. The team has struggled managing consecutive winning seasons. Sactown managed to shock the basketball world these last two seasons first by trade and then by chemistry.
At the 2021-22 season trade deadline the team decided it was time to add a superstar at the center position. The Kings traded Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, and Tristan Thompson to the Indiana Pacers for Domantas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday and a 2027 second-round pick. This trade proved to be beneficial to both sides.
Since then, Sacramento has made the playoffs after a 16 year drought as the third seed. De’Aaron Fox has become the inaugural clutch player of the year, and the Pacers have found their all-star guard in Haliburton. These scenarios make the outlook on this season much more interesting from both associations.
First Year Jitters, Second Year Comeback
The first full season after the trade both teams made pushes but has all eyes on the Larry O’Brien Championship. The 2022 champions the Golden State Warriors lead by Finals MVP Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson managed to edge them out in first round in game 7. Preventing Sacramento from moving to the next round and ending their historic season. This year they have added to their contending core in Chris Duarte, Sasha Vezenkov, and Javale Mcgee. The Kings have a good chance on getting championship gold this season.

Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk, and Keegan Murray have been key contributors for the organization since joining last season. This year for the Kings could be a successful comeback ending in an impressive championship win or Western Conference Finals. Fox and Sabonis will carry most of the workload leading them to another successful season.
California The Golden state
There are other teams in California that could be in the running as well as Sactown. Lighting the beam has given Sacramento the support that they need from the fans. Majority of the fans have been waiting for a time when the Kings are actually focusing on championship gold. Over the previous years they seemed to not show any improvement but something about this season could be different.
