Tasia’s Life Growing Up
My name is Shontasia but people call me Tasia for short. I am 16 years old, my birthday is July 11. I’m a Cancer. I am from the West Side of Chicago but I grew up on both the south and west sides. So I was back and forth a lot. I grew up with a small, but big, family. Additionally, have six sibling on my mom side and 14 on my dad side, so I can kind of call that big.
I attend Jacob Beidler Elementary School from pre-k to 8th grade then came to North Lawndale college prep for my freshman year. Additionally, I am now an 11th grader. I like to do hair, so I would call that my hobby. In my free time, I like to listen to music in my room and eat and also watch movies and go out with my friends to sometimes.
I wanted to work here because my friends kept bragging about it, and I didn’t think it was a bad idea even though some people refer it as like school. Instead you getting paid by it. I think this is a great opportunity for me. The meaning of me saying that cause I don’t do nothing after school but go home and sleep. This will help me interact more with people and get out my confront zone, and break my shyness.
Plans After Graduation
After I graduate, my plans is to go to a hair school like empire to get my associate degree. I want to have my own hair business with my own shop with my full name ShonTasia Gregory Luxurious shop or Tasia Luxurious shop , with different booths and people doing different things like hair, nails, lashes and waxes. Before all that I thought of being a nurse but I don’t think I could handle all that blood but I love helping people but I don’t think that would be the right job for me.

I had a great passion about doing hair, the reason behind this is I used to do my own hair since I was younger. Additionally, I was the type of kid that cared about my looks so I always had my hair up to date. I can’t wait to get where I wanna be with this hair stuff. People contemplated my work, saying “Tasia, how are you so good at hair?!”
I have a lot of goals and responsibilities like buying my mother an house and a car in my name Shontasia Gregory, before 18 and my own house. Additionally, building a family of my own with having a child and being an millionaire before 25, and moving my family out the hood.
Goals and Accomplishments
I will reach my goal by being consistent having hope and faith and also don’t let nobody knock me off my square and have me distracted and also be a go getter and try new things. life then taught me so much and I think I should just keep pushing and stay focused.
This is a cruel world we live in and now days, people wanna see you fall than rise and I just wanna be able to make my family proud. And be something that nobody thought ill ever be since I was doubted so many times.
I think my friends and family would be a big part of my accomplishment because they are very supportive and reliable and help me get through so much through the bad times and the good times. I can count on them to be there whenever and where ever, and I want to thank them and let them them know they can have what ever they want when I accomplish my goal.
